Solid little plane this. Decent size, sharp out the box, already setup to a good blade height so you can just go right away. Works well enough.

Good tool. Could be a little sharper.

The construction of the main tool is good. But it wouldnt cut anything and the blade was chipped. It seems some people get a sharp one and others have to go and buy a stone. I got a blunt one and I dont want to fix it myself. A new Plane should come sharp.

Surprisingly good for the money and it’s a good size as well. Adjusting the blade is a bit of a faff to keep even but doable. Blade was sharp enough to plane the edges of my oak veneer doors without any bother at all and it feels a good size and weight to do the job.

We have a gate which became impossible to close due to swelling in the wood. Before replacing this gate in the future we needed to take a decent amount of wood off the side. I have an electric sander but I needed to remove a good centimetre or so from a long chunk of wood. I grabbed this, configured the blade making sure I did my research to get the right sort of blade length. I went at the gate for a few minutes and that was it - sanding to finish it off and then a lick of waterproof paint. The blade extends/retracts so you can fully retract it before storing it, for safety. I can't fault this in any way - it was easy to setup and use. The blade arrived sharp enough to do the work I needed it for. Into the toolbox it goes.
