Worked perfect for my ceiling fan.
Easy enough to install in our ceiling fan. My wife is happy she can see in the bedroom again. They have been working for 4 months now and no problems.

The sockets appear to be of good quality
I replaced several broken sockets with these ceramic sockets. The hole pattern was exactly the same as the old sockets and the replacement was very easy. The quality appears to be much better than the sockets that failed. One type of fixture that I have is for a terrarium heat lamp of 75 watts (not too big). The old ceramic sockets were of a different design and disintegrated after about a month. I use these lamps for several hours a day and they do get very hot. These sockets are rated for 660 watts. The lamps are working now and only time will tell how well they hold up to the high heat.

Used as a replacement for a fan light socket.
I don't recommend doing what I did, but I replaced a flickering intermediate base socket in a ceiling fan with this medium based socket and it worked great. It only required removing a couple of small screws from the old and new sockets and then mounting the new socket onto the existing support bar. I could not get LED bulbs to work for more than a few minutes in the old socket and the incandescent bulbs that fit an intermediate base do not have the necessary lumens. I now have a 60W incandescent lighting our kitchen table from this fan.

Good value! Saved me $225
I could not find these with a 12" wire in any of the box stores so I ordered them. This was to fix a faulty bulb holder in one of three sconce light fixtures in our family room. My wife was ready to order 3 new fixtures for over $200, but once I was finished and had it back up and working she decided she still liked the ones we have. This $8 purchase saved me some $$$. I have to mention that you do need to have basic electrical knowledge before attempting this type of repair...but is isn't rocket science. Common sense also helps .
