Works on Chirp and also pogrammed an IC-2300H.
Programmed the ICV-2730 with CHIRP on Windows 11. Also programmed an IC-2300H. When updating the radio, Chirp said that it could not update the IC-2300H, BUT it did update the receiver. Several years ago, I purchased a separate cable for the 2300H, but it would not update on Windows 11. But this one does both tranceivers on Windows 11.

Programming Cable Working Fine
This cable was much cheaper than buying from Icom. I was able to connect to my Icom IC-2730 without any problems.

Works!
New IC-2730 black read/write worked without any problems. I did not need to install any drivers - plug and play.

It worked great with a little modification
On the USB end of the cable there is a wide area of plastic that prevented me from pushing it all the way in at the USB port. With my handi grinder the wide end became a little smaller and then it worked just fine.

Junk. NOT Compatible with IC-2730. The "include drivers" disk had zero drivers on it (all other radio specific software). This cable is a scam. DO NOT FALL FOR IT

Works with the Icom IC-2300H and Chirp | Has the Prolific Chipset
I purchased this as a method to talk to an Icom IC-2300H I had picked up a few months ago at a swap meet. I had another cable that I thought would work, and it did not. Did some research on the topic and found out that the Icom's are very picky about the chipset in the comm cables. If its not a Prolific cable, it will give errors and not communicate. Found out my previous cable had an FTDI chipset, and it was not communicating with the radio, so this adds up. This one has the prolific chipset, and the drivers I downloaded of the Prolific website work and auto-linked to the cable. Chirp can find the radio and can upload and download no problem at all. I am very happy with this. I may just buy another as a spare.... -KD9YHC
