Excellent explanation of the Vedic system of Astrology wherein the moon makes its annual transits and birth aspects. This can be used for composite information between Indian and Western astrology for a more complete understanding of the importance of the power of one's own individual moon aspect and others' moon aspects which represent not only the inner feminine, but is also symbolic of the element of the feminine in every sector of the zodiac.

A great intro to the lunar mansions and the relationship compatibility section alone is worth the price.

Decent. Not very in depth. Probably good for its time. Not bad to have on the jyotish books shelf.

"Nakshatras" est un excellent ouvrage pour ceux qui désirent ou qui étudient l'astrologie védique. Cet ouvrage est indispensable pour bien comprendre les 27 nakshatras de la Lune; il permet aussi de comparer la compatibilité entre deux lunes.

interesting approach

this book was an OK read. I expected much better though given the preface and introduction by Frawley. I however left disappointed as the info on each nakshatra was no more than 2 pages with a third page being a summary. It comes across as too simplistic and geared towards an absolute beginner with no knowledge of Hinduism or vedic astrology. Given the name and recommendations by such esteemed men in the field I though this book was going into a comprehensive account of each nakshatra with some modern elements thrown in. It merely rehashed the basics which you will find in any google search.

Its more of a beginners book about Nakshatras... nicely explain but not in depth.... if you are started learning about nakshatras and thinking to buy this book then go for it...

An excellent, very thorough introduction to Nakshatras, the lunar mansions of Vedic astrology. The author not only describes the meaning of each Nakshatra and their influence on our natal chart. He also explains how can we use the knowledge of lunar mansions for judging relationship compatibility, as well as for estimating the optimal timing to undertake any new venture, such as starting a new business or moving to a new house. Highly recommended book.

I use this book to enhance my knowledge. Every Astrologer or student of the occult should possess this book.

Résumé et synthèse très interessants de la base de l'Astrologie Védique, où les 27 pas journaliers de la Lune (appelés Nakshatras) sont si essentiels dans l'astrologie indienne. C'est ce qui permet de dire lorsque la Lune (Soma ou Chandra) s'y trouve que cette constellation devient l'Etoile du 'Chakra'.
