made 5 year old's birthday perfect! Edit: SHUT UP, ZOOMER KITTY! lol
My 5 year old daughter wanted this so badly and was thrilled to get her Zoomer Kitty for her birthday. She has been playing with him non-stop and I think believes he's alive. You have to charge him for about 45-60 minutes for 20-30 min of play time. She doesn't mind though bc she likes to watch his eyes turn from red (charging) to green (ready to play). It's awesome how the cat follows you - great robotics. I can see why my daughter believes it's alive! You can lower the volume by holding the back button down and turning the cat on and off and on again. Edit: The 5 stars is from my daughter, who is obsessed. We've had Zoomer for a few weeks now and the novelty has not worn off. For her. I HATE THIS CAT. He is so loud. I can never work the "quiet" mode, but even when I can, it's not that quiet. Still, I will confess - the robotics are pretty awesome and he is realistic...to a fault...for those of you have been around a really loud, crazy cat. :)

Fun little kitty who doesn't need a litter box :)
I bought 2 of these for Christmas. One blue and one black for my 7 and 10 year old daughters. They love them. I'm not sure they're as awesome as the price should make them be, but they are really cool and the girls have played with them for many hours. The two interact and "play" together which is amusing to watch, also. It seems to be a high quality product overall, and feels very sturdy.

There was a layer of dust/cardboard dust all over the kitty and under that were dull scuff marks on the legs
First off, I was horrified when I opened this package..it looked as though this zoomer kitty had taken a beating. There was a layer of dust/cardboard dust all over the kitty and under that were dull scuff marks on the legs, arms, back, and head. There was a strange grease like substance on the kitty's face/nose area and random greasy fingerprints here and there. I was really disappointed considering how much money this toy is and dust/grease can't be good for the life of an electronic toy as this. I contacted amazon and they did offer to replace it, I was afraid it would just come in the same condition again as this is the amazon exclusive version and only comes available in this frustration free packaging. So instead of going through the hassle of replacing, I got the kitty all cleaned off and after that the scuffs were not nearly as noticeable unless you look at an angle in direct light, then I charged the zoomer kitty and tried it out for a bit...seems to work great, just keeping my fingers crossed that all that dust/grease/scuffs doesn't affect it's lifespan. This is going to be a christmas present for my daughter, I just know she is going to fall in love..it's really a fun and super cute toy. I would have given this 5 stars if it had come in shiny, new looking condition.

Not worth the money
This is not voice activated like the zoomer dog, and it only runs for 30 min on a full charge. The instructions warn that its electronics are easily damaged by dropping or throwing. The toys it comes with dont seem to be any more interesting to it than my hand is. Basically anything waved 6 inches in front of its eyes will activate play mode. Play mode, by the way, is nothing more than moving its head to follow an object and an eventual pounce. My 2.5 year old does love it, but I think he would be just as happy with an amazing zhus mouse for 8% of the price, or even an amazon tablet kids edition. I could have gotten both for what I paid for this meowing doesn't come with its own charger but needs an hour of charging for 30 min of play overpriced toy.

A great toy!
She is awesome, my kids love her, especially my 3 year old. He plays with her all the time. The toy has several modes all of which keep him entertained. When not in use she goes to sleep but is easily awoken with one button press. She does follow her toys to a certain extent but not completely.

Fun cat
My daughter loves this kitty. The kitty can play with her like a real cat and then when she's done playing there's no upkeep. The kitty goes for a long while without needing a charge - I think one time it was close to an hour. Perfect when you want to give you kid a cat but don't actually want a cat.

For the amount of money I paid for this toy ...
For the amount of money I paid for this toy, I was expecting a lot more. The videos and some reviews made it sound more "interactive" than it actually is. My son loves it, though, and that's all that matters. I just don't really see what I paid nearly $100 for in all honesty. Not much different than that old Techno-Kitty craze back in the early 00's that sold for $40ish. Update: 5/2/16 The longer we have this toy, the less of a charge it will hold. As per the instructions you are supposed to charge it for about an hour, allow it to sit for 15 minutes so the battery can cool, and then you may play with the toy. Brand-new out-of-the-box, it would stay on continuously for a total play time of around 30 minutes. It is significantly less than that now, and it's only five months after purchase. Between how little playtime a charge will allow, and how long it takes to charge it again, my children very quickly lose interest. This is one of the most expensive toys and it is just sitting here collecting dust at my house. I'm very disappointed.

Defective Product and Painful Support
Purchased this during the post-Thanksgiving sales as a Christmas present for our kids. Per the instructions, we tried charging it the night before and the toy wouldn't take on any charge, whether plugged into a wall charger or into a computer. The toy played ok for the 15 minutes of battery life, until it ran out and no longer could be revived. Tried switching out cords, but also no luck. Tried working with Amazon customer support for an exchange, but since they were out of stock of this exact model, we couldn't get a new one anytime soon; they refused to simply swap for another Kitty in a different color, even though it's the exact same thing minus the color (of course, now running 30% more than what I paid). Called the manufacturer's support #, sat on hold for 90 minutes and finally started an exchange process that will take at least 10-15 business days to complete. All in all, pretty disappointing level of support from Amazon (the only time we've had any issues) and excruciatingly slow support from Spinmaster.

Came super quick and was as advertised. Daughter was really into it for about a month. But then the novelty wore off and she hasnt played with it much since.

This was purchased as, a gift for my 4 year old. The price on Amazon (this is an amazon exclusive) was excellent compared to in-store pricing. The Kitty was packaged without plastic in frustration free packaging which was a surprise but appreciated. Zoomer Kitty charges quickly by USB and does a decent amount of play per charge - I haven't timed it yet but if I had to guess, at least 1/2 hour before recharge, maybe more. It's a neat toy, I wouldn't want to pay more for it though, it gets old. It seems well built, durable and looks cute. It is quite loud when running, it moves efficiently on our floors (no carpet). My kids seemed to be amused by it although it may be more entertaining for my 8 year old. The modes when Kitty is running change quite quickly and it seems to frustrate my youngest.

My 5y/o son loves it. It is fun to play with and watch how it interacts with it's surroundings. We have two real cats and this one by far is the most playful. BTW - no need to feed and clean up after!
