A little difficulty in removing the worn part. Once changed the blender operated like new again. Well worth the time and effort to revive a perfectly good blender. Plus included is an extra replacement part for any future wear.

My kitchen aid mixer is about 20 years old. I had a repair shop fix the original broken coupler about 10 years ago. When it broke again, I bought a $20 plastic blender which is nice and light weight. With the many DIY videos out there and replacement parts available on Amazon, I pulled out my old blender and decided to try to repair it myself. I watched a bunch of DIY videos and bought this 2-pack with a spanner. Most of the videos showed the coupler easily being replaced and a lot of reviews here say it is easy as well. My old coupler was not easy to remove. I used the spanner that came with the coupler to stabilize the screw, but the old coupler would not budge. You need to make some adjustments to get the spanner to fit correctly but it definitely fits perfectly. In the end, my solution was to use the spanner to keep the screw in place and then I had use an adjustable wrench to twist the coupler until it finally came off. I didn’t want to strip the threads of the screw by forcing it off with a flat head screwdriver (which a lot of the videos used). I also used the spanner to hold the screw in place so I could screw on the new replacement coupler. I recommend buying this coupler pack with the spanner - for me, the spanner was essential.

Worked beautifully. Did not have to replace my whole blender. Great!!

I purchased this product thinking it would solve my problem and fit my product, but it didn't. The wrench did not move the bottom part of my blender.

This part replaced the one that had turned into a sort of black play doh, so fixed the blender so we could use it again. There were two parts, the replacement and a spare, plus the tool that made it easy to replace the part, so we are prepared for the next time it fails. Apparently this is the Achilles' Heel for this blender. Designed to fail without harming the harder to replace parts.

I bought the wrong size and they burned up.

The outside of "spanner" was too wide to fit, so it got trimmed down, and then it fit. The new coupler is working so far, and I have spares for when it doesn't. It is a little taller than the original and holds the container up off the base, making it noisier.

Everything worked as expected super happy.

...... They hold one year....... Then you will get a new one. Not sure if there are cheaper ones as you need replacements anyway....
