This is a fun game but these sink too slowly - even after drilling extra holes. I used to have a version with Alligators that worked better and I don't know if the weights were heavier or if the holes were bigger but it worked better. This set is cheap enough that if you want to modify them a bit it isn't too bad.

Fun pool toy to dive after. You do have to wait quite awhile to get them to wink or you have to open them and fill them with water. Make sure you watch as they sink, some of ours got sucked up by the pool filter. Definitely not a “Gator Egg” replacement from my childhood. (The eggs were only 1 color and there was no way to tell what egg the black gator was in) Unless the adult secretly puts the red turtle in a new colored egg every time the kids will avoid that egg color all together.

Have to open up under water and close under water to get them to sink. The little hole doesn’t help much to fill with water to sink. Can’t just toss in the pool. Kinda disappointed. Don’t compare to the quality of the old school “gator eggs”.

It’s a fun product. Not sure why one turtle is a different color than the others but that was an exciting surprise. If they sank this would be a 4 star product but unless you fill them completely with water they don’t sink. Not even close.

My girls and all the neighbourhood kids have loved these eggs. They are a little too tight for smaller kids to open and my youngest restarts to smashing them on the side of the pool like a real egg. One day this might ruin them but they are holding up great against the force. Our little turtles are quickly going MIA as they are as much fun as the eggs. Hoping one day I can find replacements somewhere!
