Love this machine! I had one previously that quit vacuuming. Replace with identical unit. It definitely works wonderfully for saving food in your freezer. I also have the zip seal bags that I keep my cheese in for the fridge to keep it fresh longer. Highly recommend one of these devices.

After using many vacuum systems for kitchen foods prep and food storage, this has been a game changer. We've had handheld units that work fine, but are fiddley and require ziptop bags with a seal port. We've had more inexpensively countertop units that are difficult to clean, don't seal well, or don't offer sufficient vacuum to tightly pack food. This unit is a massive upgrade. After thinking I didn't need to spend the money for a higher (mid) grade vacuum system, the more powerful motor, built-in and retractable handheld pump, and much better sealing make this some of the best money I've spent in my busy kitchen in years. From buying bulk meats, dried fruit and nuts, or candies to saving leftovers or cooking sous vide, this outperforms the cheaper options by leaps and bounds. We've even used this to pack small items for travel or pack thread, string lights, or cables so they don't risk tangling. The on-board bag storage and cutter are great, but I still mostly use a stack of pre-cut bags for quick convenience when my hands are messy. I truly have not found any flaws to fault this unit and would replace it in a heartbeat if anything ever happened to it.

Would benefit from a slight redesign. Securely and completely closing the bag is not as easy as it would appear. not sure where or when I obtained it, but there is a tool, maybe 1/2" x 1/4" that's designed to help. It's problem is that it's not easy to put on bags to start the closing. For freezing may bags of large batch cooking and freezing, this helps. And it's certainly better than using your thumb, or some other kitchen tool, to close many bags at one time. It's not efficient, but my experience is that closing each end of the bag for about 1", then sliding closed the remainder ensures a better closure. I like these bags and will continue to use them as they do keep frozen food good for a few months. Just wish product engineering would focus on an improvement.

Gift for my bride. We had borrowed a “FoodSaver” brand from a neighbor, we already knew the quality. Our new FoodSaver V4400 did not disappoint. Ordered December 2025 and received within a few days. We have already vacuumed sealed a lot of wonderful Christmas and New Year’s leftovers that otherwise would have been thrown out or left in the fridge to spoil. The food we have already vacuum sealed with our FoodSaver in a couple weeks has more than paid for the machine. Set-up, learning curve, and easy controls allow you to become a “vacuum sealer expert” within a few minutes of opening the box. It’s lightweight and the bag length cutter is a big PLUS. Stores easy under countertop. Function controls are simple: cut bag to length, seal end, fill bag, vacuum and seal. Automatic seal is great (no buttons to push). Green and red lights tell you when each phase is complete and the entire vacuum/seal process is well under a minute. It is little noisy, but you get used to it. Save money and prevent freezer burn. I highly recommend!

These bags are great. The quality and price are th best around. The gallon bags hold in the air very well and I haven’t had any leaks. It helps keep food fresh, compacts freezer space and are lightweight. We like to vacuum seal all our food before camping trips.

I should probably wait until I've had it a while, but I have had the older version of this for 7 years, and it worked great. The old one acted up last week and I had a bunch of chicken open and ready to seal for the freezer. Turns out it was kind of gross inside and it worked after I cleaned it. I decided to look for a new one. I tried another model from FoodSaver and I didn't like that it was manual, so I ordered the V4400. It arrived today and I used it to put a large package of pork chops into the freezer in smaller vacuum sealed portions. It works great! faster and more powerful than the manual models.
