Nothing delivered!
Great idea. Perfect lines and almost impossible to break the lead like I normally do because it is reinforced. Bought this for a "real" carpenter and going to get his impression, as he always uses a normal carpenters pencil, constantly sharpening it with a knife. I think he will like it and use it!

Great marking tool
This pencil makes a very fine line and is very useful in marking where to saw. My only complaint is that on some woods the line is a little too light to see. The graphite marking element wears very slowly so it will last a long time and is refillable.

Not too fine of line and won’t write on fresh-milled wood.
This is a decent pencil for lil-dried wood and sharpens by breaking off used “lead” section but I find it makes a bit too dull of lines and when I try to mark fresh cut lumber, I need a different pencil.

Not well made.
Feel apart after 2 uses. First the pocket clip just fell off I lost that. Then the lead just fell right out of it and there was no way to keep it in the case after. It was brand new I used it twice for one day after bringing it home I picked it up and it was trash.

Love the idea but lead is so light
I saw someone using this and have been looking all of for it. I like that it's easy to use, refillable and feels high quality. Because of the shape it basically stays sharp in comparison to regular pencils. Unfortunately none of the matters if you can't see the pencil marks. I found that the lead is so solid it barely leaves a mark compared to a traditional carpenter pencil. For that the value is not there. If I can find a softer lead then I will absolutely use it but so far it's not replacing anything.

Great concept, inadequate design and execution
I thought (and still think) this is a great product idea, but the execution leaves lot to be desired. Sharpdraw comes up short on both design and build quality. After one day on site with the pencil, the flimsy metal clip fell off--it slides off the pencil much too easily. That would not have been a big loss (I prefer to just put the pencil in my pocket), but without the metal clip the lead advance mechanism slides out of the housing. I discovered this when I pulled the pencil out of my pocket only to find the plastic advance mechanism had fallen off. Without that mechanism you (1) can't advance retract the led and (2) the lead can easily slide out of the housing. I tried putting the pencil into my pocket the other direction, but that causes the lead to advance as the pencil slides in, which promotes rapid lead breakage. The marking performance is great, especially if you don't advance the lead too far (to avoid break offs). It produces clean lines. Another smart design element is the asymmetric taper. One side of the pencil near the tip is tapered, while the other is flat, allowing nice lines when running the pencil flush to a guide. But I can't recommend this tool given the inadequate design, especially on the jobsite.
