ScarAway Scar Diminishing Gel - A Ray of Hope for Scar Reduction ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently came across ScarAway Scar Diminishing Gel, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my journey towards reducing scars. If you're like me and have been searching for an effective solution, read on to discover why this gel has caught my attention. 🩹 Visible Improvement: What struck me most about ScarAway is the noticeable difference it has made in reducing the appearance of my scars. Whether it's from surgery, injury, or acne, this gel seems to be working its magic in promoting smoother and less noticeable skin. 🌱 Silicone Power: Silicone has long been hailed for its scar reduction properties, and ScarAway takes full advantage of this. The gel is formulated with advanced silicone technology that creates a protective barrier, helping scars fade and blend with the surrounding skin over time. ⏳ Consistency Pays Off: Applying ScarAway consistently has proven key. While results may vary depending on the severity of the scar, I've noticed that dedicated use has led to more prominent improvements. It's not an overnight miracle, but the gradual progress is truly encouraging. 🛡️ Protection and Hydration: The gel also helps shield scars from external factors that could hinder the healing process. Plus, it keeps the skin hydrated, which contributes to the overall health of the scar tissue. 👃 Non-Greasy and Odorless: Unlike some scar products that can be unpleasant to apply due to texture or smell, ScarAway's gel formula is both non-greasy and odorless. It's a relief to use a product that feels comfortable on the skin throughout the day. 🌞 Sunscreen Alert: Keep in mind that scar tissue is more susceptible to sun damage. While using ScarAway, it's crucial to protect the area with sunscreen to prevent further discoloration or damage. 🎉 Final Thoughts: ScarAway Scar Diminishing Gel is not a magical eraser, but it's a step in the right direction for those seeking to minimize the appearance of scars. Whether you're dealing with surgical scars, cuts, burns, or even stretch marks, this gel has the potential to make a noticeable difference over time. Please note: As with any skincare product, individual results can vary. It's a good idea to consult a dermatologist or medical professional before incorporating ScarAway into your routine, especially if you have sensitive or problematic skin.

Worked for me -- science says it works in general
It worked for me as far as I can tell (anecdotal evidence) -- my scars from my Bilateral Total Knee Replacement are much improved at 6 weeks post-op, far better than the scar from my Total Hip Replacement at 15 weeks (I used this on a VERY limited basis on the hip scar). The top half (or more) of the scar is starting to disappear -- literally. In general that section is fading and there are place where it is invisable. The bottom third is improved but not as remarkable -- likely because there were most stitches spit late from that area. (As recent as this week.) Perhaps also the skin is of different quality above the knee and on or below it, or perhaps the stretching on the lower portion is different enough that the wound healed differently. Note: My incision was closed externally with ONLY GLUE so there was not a lot of scaring nor was the scar wide. In any case, it worked for me and I am continuing to use it -- as well as buying more to use it longer. BTW: I don't much care about the hip scar and it is inconvenient to put the gel there and then dress. FYI: This stuff is VERY SLOW to DRY. The instructions indicate 'apply, wait for it to dry, then dress' but it practically never dries, always remaining tacky. I have tried waiting an hour or more and also tried a blow dryer to hasten the process. None of this really helped. It would have been reasonable to downgrade the rating by one star due to this issue but the stuff works so well that I chose to give it all 5 stars despite this annoyance. I just paint it on, then find a way to leave it uncovered for an hour or more, then dress or pull up the bed covers and let what ever happens happen. The hip was far less convenient in the respect since you can't even wear underwear or gym shorts without covering that area -- the knees are much easier to leave exposed.

Great Product, Tube Neck Always Rips
I’m on my fourth tube of this for my thyroid removal surgery scar. The product is great and I have used it daily for a year. I truly do feel it has helped reduce the visibility of my scar. 5 stars for the product! However, the tube is awful. Every single one has had the same issue: the gel doesn’t come out, then it rushes out and pops off the roller ball top. Then there’s gel everywhere. After a few weeks, the neck of the tube always ends up ripping on the sides. Then, I just use the neck to squeeze out gel onto my finger. It’s really annoying, and I wish the tube opening was just a small hole I could squeeze gel out of vs the roller ball. But I’ll keep buying, because I do like this product.

Uncomfortable in certain areas
I'm four weeks post op from my 'mommy makeover' surgery (abdominoplasty with tummy tuck, with a new belly button, breast left with augmentation and aerola reducing). I did lots of research and couldn't decide on which scar product to get, so I spent about $500 dollars on different kinds of scar products so I could try and figure out which one I like the best. I bought different brands of strips, scar creams and this gel. This came in first before the strips and other scar creams and so I decided to start using this gel first. I used it on my aerola and under my breast. I used it for a week now before I wrote this review. At first, I just gently "rolled" it on and noticed nothing was coming out. After several minutes trying to get the gel out we noticed it can only get it out by slightly squeezing the bottle while pressing the silver ball down with slight force while rolling. Kind of like when you write, you press the pen down slightly with a little force but not hard. This is the same kind of force. Before my mommy makeover I had to get a before mammogram. The tech said she needed at least 5 lbs of pressure to get an image but the more pressure the better the picture. She told me to tell her when to stop if it was uncomfortable. Her machine pressed and pressed on my breast and she finally says "your tough, your breast can hold 18 lbs of pressure which is the highest about of pressure that it goes".... with that said... When slightly squeezing the bottle and slightly pressing down to get the gel out, it was so uncomfortable. It could be my breast are still tender from the surgery. But using this roller is not a pleasant feeling especially around the aerola. It just hurt while rolling it on. If my breast can handle 18 lbs of pressure, there is something wrong with the sensory of this roller on breast or my breast themselves after surgery. I decided to use it on my tummy tuck and belly button scar to see if it hurt in those areas. My tummy is still numb (like a foot asleep), so I couldn't feel it on my belly button or the front of my belly, however on my hips where I do have feeling (and its not numb), I was able to feel the roller and it felt slightly better than the breast but not enough for me to continue to use. With all this said, I think having strips or scar cream and a finger is a better choice. I will be able to control the pressure better using cream on my finger than squeezing this tube and trying to control the roller pressure enough to squeeze it out but soft enough not to hurt. I decided to give this product 3 stars because I will give them the benefit of the doubt based on all the positive reviews and outcomes. I can't comment on the long term outcome. I can only comment on using the roller for a week, which I did not find pleasing. I think if you have a small cut or wound where a strip can't get to, in between creases (toes, fingers etc) or if your scar is numb (like my tummy) this is a good option for you. But for a bigger area (24" long on my tummy hip to hip) or a tender area like an aerola, I would keep looking. The tube is small and using this on a bigger area for 3-6 months, you would need several tubes.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM.. YOU GOTTA SHAKE GEL FIRST, BEFORE EACH USE!!
Initially, I was having a problem applying this gel. It seemed that it was not releasing product at all or intermittently. I had read where many said the applicator was malfunctioning, but the product I received stated that it was a "New Easy Flow applicator" indicating that it might be an upgrade, so I decided to work with it. My scar was around my neckline and I would roll the gel over it. Sometimes I felt the stickiness of the gel on some parts. Other times I did not, couldn't see it either. I was unable to tell whether my scar was protected or not, and felt I was walking around with a false sense of confidence. I was on the verge of returning it one day, when out of frustration, I started shaking it! Would you know that it started to work like a charm! It got the gel flowing...similar to when you shake a pen when it is seems to be running out of ink, it flows more. Ever since, I have been shaking this gel before using, 2x/day and I have had no more problems with the applicator. It glides easily over my scar and gives me as much coverage as I need. Needless to say, I love it!

Glad This Gel Really Worked on Dog Bite
I used ScarAway gel for a dog bite that happened on my lower lip. My small 3 month old puppy got too hyper/energetic in the dark and jumped up and caught my lip. It slit open from my lip toward my chin but didn't require stitches. Dog bites typically don't get stitched because the cut has to remain open so that it can drain out to prevent infection. I was worried that my lip/chin wouldn't close properly. Keloid skin also runs in my family so I was worried about a dark, raised scar on my face. Thanks to ScarAway gel and silicone scar removal sheets, you can barely tell I had such an open cut on my face. The 1st pic is 2 weeks after the bite happened. This is when I started the gel and sheets because you have to wait until your cut closes and heals up some. I used ScarAway gel twice a day (morning and night) and I slept with a silicone scar removal sheet over the scar at night. The 2nd pic is now, a year and 2 months later. Almost nothing there, except a tiny knot on my lip.

Not as advertised
This did not have the roller applicator as advertised. It has a tiny hole to apply gel. Not the same! The gel is fine, but a roller applicator gives better and more even coverage.

Skeptic is no longer skeptical...get this!!!
(FYI: Not a dang soul paid me for this review. All my words, story is all mine.) For new wounds, I highly recommend ScarAway gel for anyone that's skeptical or on the fence about which brand/product to try especially before too much time passes. You won't regret it! I'm beyond happy about results thus far. I never expected a magic wand, but at the very least I hoped for some level of improvement over time. So I dropped the $30 and crossed my fingers. I've only used it for 5 days (just 4 days after suture removal) and have seen an fairly shocking, encouraging rate of improvement in the overall look of my skin. Immediately upon 1st use, scabbed areas softened and I was able to peel them away painlessly. That was awesome! Made the area look a tad less disgusting LOL A little goes a long way. A small pea size amount or less for this 2" long wound is enough. First, I wiped the area with an alcohol wipe, let it fully dry. Several dabs and swipes to fill in all the areas that need it, as well as a centimeter or so around the perimeter of the surgery site. It's sticky first, but fully dries to silky smooth in about 10min. (FYI- Texas humidity doesn't help) If it's not dry by 10min, you probably used too much, so just dab lightly with a paper towel and you'll be good. It stays on all day, uncovered. Every time I washed my hands I'd apply more to be safe. Not sure if its necessary. Just use your best judgement. I'm as white as a ghost so I expect the wound to be pink for a while. It's only 1 month old. The overall color of the area is evening out and healing is happening. It's definitely noticeable for such a short time. No idea about this product's effectiveness on old scars. So here's a more detailed timeline to the story: Broke my left wrist in a car accident. I had surgery to repair the break on 05/01/17. First pic shown is 05/08/17. The immediate surgery site looked gnarly and continued to until sutures were removed last week, Wed. 05/24/17. It was a little lumpy, crusty with light scabs. First use of the product was Mon. 05/29/17, 4 days after suture removal. Second pic is today, 5 days later, Fri. 06/02/17. Get this stuff!
