Every six months.
Works great. ZEP is a trustworthy brand. Many folks are first-time owners of a septic tank. Yes, this will dissolve over time, even thick roots. With one treatment. I am sure basic chemicals can be bought cheaper. But the ZEP brand is trustworthy. We use two annually. Provide two to our very nice neighbors. Who did not know about this treatment. Until they had roots. After 30 years. Once every 6 months.

Easy to apply
I ordered the Zep root killer in order to avoid having to dig up my entire lawn to remove root infiltration in a sewer line. Based on other reviews I have read it should do the job. The instructions say to let it sin in the sewer line for about 6 hours in order to kill the roots. I needed to be out of town for a day so I used it just before I left, meaning that it would sit on the roots for about 36 hours in total time. The reason I gave it four only stars was based on the fact that I would actually need to place a camera in the sewer line to determine if the roots were actually destroyed. As an alternative I may simply wait to see if I get another sewer blockage. If not, then I will probably upgrade the rating to 5 stars,

Zep Root Kill works
This product seems to work well on my main drain line; my calls to the plumber for a drain clean are much less frequent now. Happy with the purchase.
