Bold, fairly strong and Flavorful without bitterness
My family and I really enjoyed this bag of Community Coffee House Blend, which was a nice flavorful balance between dark and medium roasts. We prepared it via three methods: pour over, french press and espresso machine, obtaining the best results with french press and longer than normal immersion (7 or more minutes). The espresso method (fine grinding the coffee beforehand) was the least satisfactory. It would probably work great in a traditional regular coffee machine. Using the recommended 2 tablespoonfuls of coffee per 6 oz water gave perhaps too bold and strong a taste tending to slight bitterness. About 1 rounded full tablespoon was the right balance for us. The flavor was slightly chocolaty with hints of chicory. Note that the bag of coffee should be sealed and preferably put away in your fridge immediately after use to preserve its qualities. Yes the 12 oz. bag was gone in just a few days! Our first time trying it on an amazon special price. We now want to try the other flavors and types by Community Coffee.

Intense Flavor, Not Bitter
I usually drink Breakfast Blend, a medium roast. I was eager to try something different but fearful this medium dark roast might be harsh, bitter. I was surprised to find that I actually love it, love the rich, bold flavor with no bitter, burnt flavor at all. I find myself craving the strong flavor. TIP: As recommended by Chef Alton Brown, I always add a small pinch of salt to my coffee when brewing. Try it.

This is an excellent product. I have been using it for years.
This coffee is delicious. One of the best that is offered. I like the Medium-Dark roast because of the unique flavor that is so mellow. Try it, you will like it. However this coffee was not as medium/dark roast as usual. More Medium roast and the flavor was more flat.
