I'm extremely happy with this stand. Whether going to the range and needing a place to stand the rifles, or even when going through the safe and staging things to go back or to prep for a range day, it's great to have a place to stage things. It's very well made and sturdy - the staggered slots on each side ensure full use of both sides, and it locks in either the open or closed positions so there are no unintended movements. There's a convenient carry handle on top that works in either position as well. Assembly is quick - about 12 screws and it's ready to go. It's actually a little on the heavy side, but I see that as a positive, as it's made of sturdy wood and won't get knocked around easily.

I bought this to store some Civil War muskets, and it works okay. As pointed out by other reviewers, I don't think it is solid pine, but rather made of particle board. In spite of that, it is quite sturdy and supports all my muskets. I also question, "easy to assemble," as it took me almost 2 hours. Unfortunately, the instructions are just graphics without text. It was a little hard for me with my "senior" eyes to make the images out. It would have been very helpful to have some close ups in the illustrations, all the graphics are a bit distance and not showing the detail, at least to my satisfaction. Although I didn't have to take advantage of it there was a toll free help line to call for assembly assistance and email support. I didn't need the portability aspect of the product, but that does seem to work well. Overall a good product, decent value for the cost.

Okay, maybe it is a US based company but this unit is made in China. It is also the cheapest material of any piece of furniture I have ever purchased. It is a kind of plastic coated fiberboard. It also came scratched up in the box which makes it look even worse. It is a good thing that it is foldable so that I can hide it when it is not being used. When it is assembled it is fairly sturdy and I do not doubt that it will hold 10 guns, it just looks awful doing it. I wish this company would have a little more pride in their product and make it out of some nicer material. And perhaps bring manufacturing back to the US as it does not seem like a very difficult product to manufacture. I would easily pay double for a made in the US product that was made using real wood and nicer hardware. I would likely not recommend this to a friend and am regretting my decision now that it is assembled.
