Good Sticks at a Good Price
Just ordered an additional 6 of these. Had my first set for an entire year without a problem. Very sturdy - so acts as temp training goals easily as well as agility training. Just wish it came with a bag....

I got a good Deal $30 for all 6
Ok.. I got a good Deal $30 for all 6. They have held up to a season of U-12 girls. Used them for Goal, Corners, Agility Poles, and all types of work for my ladies. They held up well. Other Coaches even borrowed them. Oh. My u-15 boys used them as well. They have held up well. The coach who borrowed them made some of his own because he liked mine , then he asked me what I paid and I told him .. He siad nest time he was buying his. My only complaint . there is only 6 in the group should be 8. two goals and 4 corners. The price has gone up now. I am mad at that cause I want more. hmmm might be worth buying though.

Great Coaching Training Aid
This is a good set of training poles, at a reasonable/competitive price. Finding poles that will last for roughly $10 per pole is a good deal, and these have worked out well.I have 20 of these poles (4 sets), and they are all still working great three years into use by a youth/touch rugby program, a U-13/U-15 boys tackle program, and both boys and girls high school rugby teams. These have held up very well, with no cracking, splitting, bending or other deformity that would make them useless. All 20 are still in service, which is a great return on my roughly $200 investment.Note that there is no spring or other twisting/torsion mitigation device on these poles. All you get is pole. These basically cannot be used as a sideline marking or stand in for a corner flag--they are not designed for this use, and doing so is a recipe for disaster. The poles are relatively flexible in that they do give somewhat. They've got a substantial bend to them, and can take player contact. The joining section between steel spike and plastic pole is very strong; the pole will fall over and pull up the ground before it will bend or break.Note also that these things have a formidable and highly shiny steel tip on the end. In my rugby club these are not called the training poles; they're called "the spears." Yes, boys and girls alike, at any age, will want to pick one of these up and see how far they can throw it, and if it'll stick when it hits. The really thick ones will throw it at a teammate. So, know before you buy that you will need to keep close watch over the kids when these poles are in use.One thing you'll need for a set of these poles is a good way to secure and move them. You can get five or ten in your hands, but that's awkward and arguably unsafe. A strong bungee at each end is good. What I found is best for all 20 of our poles is a custom strap from StrapWorks. Give them your dimensions and they'll rig an adjustable bundling strap assembly that will go around both ends, with a connecting strap, and a shoulder strap, all in one device, and for a very reasonable price . . . in your choice of strap width and/or color.Bottom line: I looked on auction sites, sports sites and other places for a long time before I bought training poles, and I bought these. They are sturdy, flexible, and hihgly durable, a good investment in your coaching equipment.

Great Training Tool - Great Price
I was surprised to see how expensive these training posts could be - I was wondering if 30 minutes spent in Home Depot's PVC and gardening section I could make these on my own. But these sticks found on Amazon are perfect - and at a great price. After just a few soccer lessons using these posts my son now signed a huge contract to play for Manchester United. Okay that's not true - but they are a great addition to his soccer training.

Works as intended
Being a soccer coach, the biggest challenge is practice times and setup. These poles, obviously, are easy to set up. Bang, bang, you are done. A nice to have would be if they came in a carrying bag. I have to bungee them together for transportation.

Good not great.
Poles are good, but base can break easily. Make sure that you fill the base with gravel, tends to work best. I had to tape to the base to make sure it last longer.

These sticks are a must have
Want to get your players fired up? Use sticks as well as cones. The kids see professional gear, no matter how inexpensive, and they amp up their focus considerably. Sticks and low hurdles as well as double-sided pinneys are helpful. These sticks hold up really well: my first set is 3 years old and has seen hundreds of practices and warm-ups, yet only one stake has broken due to abuse (abuse happens regularly and still just the one stick fatality.)
