Klein Tools JTH4E17 1/2-Inch Hex Key with Journeyman T-Handle, 4-Inch

As a filmmaker, I use the 3/16 inch Allen key a lot for attaching monitors to my cameras, tightening parts together and it is awesome to have a dedicated 3/16” Allen key to get the job done. The price is perfect...so I ordered two of them, cause I know I’ll lose them at some point. I wish it was a little smaller but it is super well built. Very helpful that it has a hole to attached it to a keychain, but it is a bit too big to put on a normal set of keys and carry around daily.

Bought for underground line work. Klein disappointed me. While it is sturdy, this thing should have a wider handle for torquing down on hex screws. It has an open end on the handle for switching over to the long shank to torque. This causes a real problem. That open end caused me to touch the cabinet on a transformer, and there was a flash. Luckily I wasn't shocked or burned, but I could've been. The tool didn't come out so good. Giving 3 stars for quality of tool, because it is sturdy, but Klein needs to go back to the drawing board.

I had a stuck loop lock pool cover anchor bolt that just wouldn't budge. I used this T handle hex key to get it out, but had to whack the key with a hammer, (short end of the key in the bolt, while hitting the long end which acted as a lever. Probably hit the key over 100 times, was waiting for it to break, but it took the punishment and got the bolt out! and is still undamaged! Very impressed!!

After losing the chuck key for our Delta drill press and not being able to find a key that would fit quite right a new chuck was in order. This one is more robust than the original, and has very smooth operation. It came with two keys, so we should be good for awhile. It is a bit taller than the old chuck, so it uses up a bit of the vertical space to the bed. Still not a big deal, and I have a floor drill press if we ever have thicker to drill.

I like the fact that there is both a long tip and a short tip and each tip is coated with a very thin non-slip paint. I also like that on the top-center of the handle the size (1/4") is painted in white in a large easy-to-read format. The black portion of the handle is rubberized and the grip is comfortable. I also like that there is a hole in the handle so this can be hung from a peg board.I use this to remove the scree that holds the blade on my slicer and it is perfect for that. If I needed a hex key that I could hit with a hammer, this would probably not be the best choice. But whenever I need a hex key to be operated by hand, I will be buying another one of these. Couldn't ask for more.

I received the 3/16-Inch Hex Key with Journeyman T-Handle, 4-Inch Klein Tools JTH4E11, in good working condition but it arrived with a proposition 65 warning label. I went to the website and I can not find the product Is there something specific about the product that causes it to fall under the prop 65 act? I even called the Klein tool and they are not aware of the reasoning behind the sticker.

I have the Klein parasitic worm in my brain so you know I’m gonna have to buy this anyway. Who wants to be seen with a stand that has an open space? Let’s just have a $70 complete SAE set to save the sellers time during shipping. Typical okay made *cough* (sold) in the USA *cough* (China) Klein quality

Awesome tool, came as described however I just wish the allen key portion on the T handle was a little longer to fit in deeper slots and use the long shaft for more torque. It's only about 1.5" long

I use this on film sets as I work as a grip. It's very versatile for tightening and loosening beams and clamps. 5/16 is common size is my industry for a lot of things.

It's a very good tough allen key, you won't chip those screwheads. I love the hole on the handel, I attached a rope on mine, very useful.

I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces but it is the right size and turns screws...

Wow, these are handy, handy and even more handy! Aside from the times when I must use a small thin hex key for the job, I always reach for these first. Klein makes two types of Journeyman T-Handles, the regular hex end and the ball end, and both are amazing!

I bought this one and a (Klein Tools JTH6E11 3/16-Inch Hex Key) awesome tools. I am really happy. specially like the fact after you tighten down the bolt you can turn it side ways and really tighten it down.

Nice size for my toolbox, the tips are correct and it works well for the jobs I bought it for. I'll be buying more sizes...!
