Love this product. The Nielsen Massey vanilla paste is the best one I’ve tried. It really makes whatever you are baking more luxurious and delicious! The texture is thick and you can see the beans, which is the next best thing to an actual vanilla bean pod. It is a great size and value for your money. I used in several recipes and just swapped out extract and it worked flawlessly so it is very simple to use. Try this ASAP!

I love this for using in homemade vanilla ice cream. It adds a rich flavor that is so much better than other vanillas I’ve tried and the bean specs add an attractive look. Nice glass bottle that I find easy to pour from even with a wide opening.

I consider this brand and product of vanilla bean paste to be the absolute gold standard, and I will continue to purchase it until another knocks it off its pedestal. I do have a dirty-little-secret to share ~ on occasion I have added a top-rated vanilla extract to the paste when my bottle of paste is low because I want to get every bit of the flavorful seeds and paste as possible. Where the Nielsen-Massey company should improve is its packaging. The cap of the bottle is sealed with a small strip of clear plastic, which would ordinarily suffice, but it is insufficient for air travel. The air pressure in the cargo hold causes the contents to leak out under the cap. Apparently, the shipper is aware of this because they have wrapped the bottle with bubble-wrap and taped it from top to bottom. While it helped to keep the cap on, it was not strong enough to prevent seepage. When I received it here (Hawaii), the inside of the bubble-wrap was coated with the aromatic vanilla paste. Fortunately, it looked to be only about a couple of teaspoons, but still...if your order entails travel by air, be prepared for some leakage.

This vanilla is amazing, I will never use another vanilla beside this. It adds so much flavor and brings elevates your desert on a whole nother level. I used in my carrot cake, and banana pudding and omg where has this vanilla been my whole life of cooking.

Use this for drinks, cocktails, ice creams, cakes, desserts- can be used on anything. Love the size. Wish the bottle could be a little bigger. Most of my teaspoons were too big to scoop the paste. But still great product

The other day I was baking an almond cake with almond buttercream frosting. This was for a special birthday, so I wanted to use the best quality vanilla-bean paste. All of the (North American) chefs I've ever watched on the Food Network seem to use Nielsen-Massey vanilla products whenever they bake; this appears to be the gold standard. I had a lot of prep to do for this party--including baking the cake/making the frosting! So I bought this via Amazon. The taste didn't disappoint: it's a quality product. However, the price is ridiculous! I paid $42, which is at least 10% higher than ordering it elsewhere online. If you buy this via Amazon, you're paying for the convenience, especially if you have Prime 1-day delivery, as I do. Also, I learned that vanilla-bean paste can replace vanilla extract 1:1 (exactly). So for any baking where you want to really taste the vanilla, buy this. You won't regret it!
