Fresh Fruit

My daughter LOVES these. I will admit, I had my eye on some "cuttable" fruit for awhile but despite all the parents swearing it was the coolest thing ever, I thought it looked kinda boring. Enter the toy kitchen. My daughter received a play kitchen for her second birthday and it came with a few pieces of cuttable food (bread slices, carrot)--and she LOVED them. So I did a little searching for a similar, wooden set and found these. Of all the sets I found these were my favorite--had items she was familiar with and was a bit smaller than some of the other sets (PERFECT size for her 2-year-old hands). For reference, I would say the kiwi is about standard size, the apple is about the size of a small cider-worthy apple, the orange is more the size of a tangerine, the lemon is closer to a lime, and the banana is obviously nowhere near scale. These are great quality--I read reviews of other brands having problems with the velcro but this set is really wonderful. The velcro holds well but my 2-year-old can still cut. I would totally buy these again.

My 2 year old LOVES this toy. He will sit and quietly “cut” the fruits independently. Wooden pieces are strong and have yet to dent or chip, even when he is rough with them! Definitely recommend!

Hape was one of the widely like brand for making wooden toys. I got my kid a hape kitchen set with some vegetables. I thought I will buy this set also to make her cooking experience much better. She loves it. The first two three days she was all over cooking and the vegetables. She knows all the fruits and prepares dishes and puts them in plates and bring it to us for eating. I ask her for a fork and by the time she comes back I will say the food is over and that I need more. Initially she used to bring me some other food and I used to repeat. She has not caught on and now checks me to see if I have hidden it somewhere. This is a nice addition to the Hape kitchen and gives kids a wide range of fruits options to play with. The knives are superb and give a real feel without hurting the kids.

My two year old loves this set! He has no problems cutting the fruit and loves to serve it to us from his new kitchen. He got this for his second birthday and used it right away. The fruit items are nicely made and have so far survived being dropped and thrown on the floor with no problems. I do wonder if the Velcro will wear out over time, but looks like all the wooden sets use Velcro.

Knief and fruits are overall smaller than other brands, such as VIGA and M&D. Viga brands are a little larger (and the knief is a lot bigger and easier to grab and handle for a toddler.) M&D is a lot bigger in every size so my as my daughter grew, she likes bigger food toys that also cuts into several peices rather than just in half. However, this toy is the best in terms of details inside the fruits and the shape. My daughter still loves noticing little details inside the fruits as she is learning all the names. (She is almost 2yrs old). Great quality and vibrant colors. Colors chip less than Viga vegetables set I have. And velcro is stronger than Viga, but not as strong as M&D. However, still works great with no problem. Now that somehow I ended up with 3 sets of cutting toys, I store them all together and have enough knieves and cutting boards, but if this was the only cutting toy, I would not have been happy with the size of the knief and not having a cutting board. So I took off 1 star.

The Hape play food is nicer than I expected. The pieces are large and chunky, the paint does not chip. The velcro holds the pieces together well and is relatively easy to separate with the included wooden knife. My daughter spends hours playing with them in her play kitchen. We also have the vegetables set and the velcro has come off one of the halves, but would be easy to re-secure with a child-safe glue. Otherwise, the velcro for all the pieces has held up very well.

This fruit set is exactly what I wanted. I was debating between the PlanToys cut fruit (the wood composite ones) and this set, but decided to go with these because the PlanToys ones have string stems. These ones are great. Yes they are smaller than the Melissa and Doug brand fruits, but I bought them for my child so I wanted them to be child sized. The knife is slightly different than the listed photo, but I think it is for the better because this knife is all one piece and doesn’t have a handle piece. The colors are great, and the paint seems like it will hold up well. I would say maybe the only downside is that it didn’t come with a cutting board, like the PlanToys set does, but I found a small cheap one locally, so that wasn’t a big deal.

My toddler loves his wooden kitchen. I am a little bit of a stickler for aesthetically pleasing toys, and these fit my standards. They are nicely colored (not garish) with paint that doesn't come off easily, and handle rough play. Real wood.

The act of cutting fruits with a knife, copying parents behavior, is a real pleasure for toddlers!

マグネットよりマジックテープタイプの方が切った手応えがあるのと金属製の鍋にくっついてしまわずに使いやすいと聞いてこちらにしました。 切るときに力が入りますしまだサポートが必要なのですが楽しそうに切って食べる真似をしています。 正直、もっとお安いプラスチックの商品の方が投げてもうるさくないし品数も多い・・・で迷ったのですが ドイツ製のこちらはやはりしっかりしていて親の自己満足ですが何よりかわいい！ あとは投げないように気をつけて見守ります。 余談ですがナイフが２本ついてきたというレビューを読みましたが私の購入の際には一本でした。

Ich habe dieses Set meiner Tochter, 21 Monate, zu Weihnachten geschenkt. Zwar steht auf der Verpackung ab 3 Jahre, aber sie zeigte starkes Interesse an meinen Aktivitäten in der Küche, und wenn ich ihr eine weiche Kartoffel mit Kinderbuttermesser gegeben habe hat sie auch schon ganz wild drauf losgeschnitten. So habe ich also lange nach einem schönen Set gesucht, am liebsten aus Holz. Letzendlich habe ich mich für dieses von Hape entschieden, da es eine angenehme Auswahl an Früchten hat - also Obst, welches Kinder auch kennen (nicht zB Drachenfrucht oder so exotische Dinge), und weil die Verarbeitung auf den Bildern sehr ordentlich aussah. Das hat sich auch beim Öffnen der Packung bestätigt. Die Farbe ist sehr akkurat aufgetragen, der Klettverschluss zum Zusammenhalten der Obsthälften ist punktgenau verklebt und auch nach gefühlt Hundert Mal trennen von einander hat er sich nicht verändert, sprich: alles in allem hat es eine sehr gute Qualtät. Zwar ist es immer etwas nervig wenn ihr das Holzobst aus den kleinen Händen rutscht und laut krachend auf den Parkettboden knallt, aber das gehört wohl dazu, wenn man kleine Kinder hat. Und ist mir allemal lieber als dsa selbe aus Plastik. Das hatten wir nämlich auch schon im Haus, dann ist Mama einmal mit ihren Hausschuhen drauf getreten und nicht nur dass das Obststück zerstört war, überall lagen auch noch die Plastiksplitter rum. Dann lieber einmal in was gescheites investiert, dann hat man auch lange Freude daran.

Ordered for my granddaughter to play while her mother is fixing dinner, they fruit is really nice looking, mother and daughter are very happy playing with them
