I purchased the JUMP At Home Grade 6 workbook to see how the program works. I think that if you have a child who is a student in a school mathematics class and needs help with the basics, this is a good series to have. You can click on the link to search inside this book and check out the table of contents for more details, but I can tell you that this books covers sequences, patterns, mental math and estimating, multiples, multiplying, division, place value, fractions, decimals, ratios, percents, and more. As a math teacher, we're constantly seeing children struggle in school when the basics aren't strong. I think the JUMP program is a good solution to that problem. Just what I wanted
As a math tutor, I find this book provides low risk/high impact problems for my charges. Purposely designed to be straight-forward and no frills. this is not to be used stand alone math program. Finding the beauty of numbers takes time, and many, many delightful hands on applications of real world math. That is...education via puzzles, patterns, connections, experienced in the kitchen, in the grocery store, in the great outdoors... This is a resource for practice. Think of it as scales for the piano. You can look for answer key on his website.

Great resource, but I have found a few errors ...
Great resource, but I have found a few errors (or maybe I'm not ready for sixth grade math!). An answer key would be helpful. All that said, my daughter, who hates math, loves JUMP At Home.

Basically the same as Jumpmath grade 5
Felt a little deceived as this book was almost identical to the grade 5 version.

Worksheets
This is a collection of very dry worksheets. Not a useful resource - rather a collection of drill and practice sheets. I don't see the great JUMP vision here. This material would turn off students who are struggling.

Great for the price and a helpful book for struggling students in math.

My kid likes this work book, and he gets A on math at school!

Excellent way to teach math concepts to a sixth grade student. The pages reinforce previous concepts and challenge the student. What an easy way to learn and teach. I've been using all the workbooks from grade 4, doing 2 pages a day with my granddaughter, and math is now fun and easy.

If your child is struggling in math or you are a teacher, these books are a great addition. The directions are concise. There are usually examples provided for each activity. Even if you only use it for ideas, it is a great reasource to have. I have found that students find the directions easy to follow. I have also used it for tutoring.
