Another high quality Jansport backpack
I bought it primarily for use during San Diego Comic Con. I end up carrying a lot of stuff, including my food, foldable stool, or hat. It is very comfortable to wear,as it did not feel heavy, and rested comfortably on my shoulders and back. I love the build quality as it feels like it should last me a long time. My last Jansport backpack served me for 25 years ever since I bought it when I was an undergrad. With that, I wish I had this model back then too. Who knew! Highly recommended.

Desmejoró frente a sus versiones anteriores pero aún así sigue siendo buena opción
Tuve un Jansport Oddisey 39 que me duró más de 10 años, así que decidí reemplazarlo por este. Un poco decepcionado por el cambio en la calidad de esta nueva versión. Ha tenido algunos cambios en la ubicación de los bolsillos, se nota de menor calidad en los materiales, aún así sigue siendo una excelente opción comparado con otras marcas del mercado.

Best Backpack Ever
My favorite backpack with the perfect amount of compartments. I drug this thing around through all of college, when the bottom eventually wore out after 4+ years of loading it up and throwing it around I got a new one.I tried 2 other bags in the mean time, but they both disappointed me in quality, the size of the main compartment, and the ability to sort small things into different pouches. This bag is my perfect travel bag on an airplane, to a coffee shop in town, or for school.

3 stars for durability with heavy use, 4 stars if you don’t need to carry really heavy stuff daily
I originally purchased this at the beginning of my son’s 6th grade year due to having the chest, hip straps and the large size. His came with white lining, which is horrible, but I think they’ve changed that on newer ones.After the first year the mesh water bottle pockets were very torn, the seam at the top of the backpack straps started coming apart. I sent it to Jansport for repair and they replaced the mesh on both pockets; however, they made the pockets a lot smaller and they repaired the other issues. I did have to pay to ship it to them.Then after his 7th grade year, (see pics) I sent it back to Jansport because the seams were coming apart at the sides of the straps next to the water bottle pockets, there was a tear in the small hole at the top (for headphones), the water bottle pockets had a few tears and the inner membrane liner for water resistancy started deteriorating. They sent me back a gift card because it was not repairable.So I am giving the backpack 3stars for durability; however, my son would carry a laptop, 30 oz water bottle, pencil pouch, 5-6 composition books, etc which was about 15-20lbs on a daily basis. So for our needs it’s a 3.If you do not need to carry it that often or with that much heavy stuff in it then it will prob work better for you.Would I buy it again? Yes, bc there are very few backpacks 39L with a chest and hip strap and Jansport does stand by their products with their warranty.
