Great bag!
Yo. Let me tell you. Very satisfied with this bag. I was using a Kelty 70 ltr Tornado. Don't need that anymore. The pictures on Amazon don't do this bag any justice. What they don't show you are all of interior zippered pockets, a big ole pouch inside the main compartment for socks, hat, etc. The front pocket has interior pockets too! Plenty of storage for paracord, fire starters, etc and easy to get to! Well made and HUGE! For 60$, you can not beat this bag. Great for 3 or 4 day hikes. Totally blown away. Did I already say that?

Rugged and capable
This is a very solid bag that can be used for multiple purposes. I use it for a "get home" or "vehicle bag" to keep supplies in that I may need in the event my car breaks down. It has ample room to keep things you need while waiting on help, minor tool kit, first aid, food, temporary shelter, emergency survival kit, etc. MOLLE webbing on the back and sides allow for attaching extra pouches, etc. that you may want/need. This bag also comes with a space between the outer bag and inner bag that you can stash a helmet, shoes, etc. Compression straps allow you to cinch the bag down tight so its not sagging. One of the reasons I bought this bag was the hip strap. This allows for a much more comfortable pack in the event you need to leave your vehicle and begin hiking somewhere. It's not overly padded but it will do a good job keeping the bag from bouncing around. Did I mention the lifetime warranty? Yes, it has that as well. I very good bag for a good price!

Love this thing.
Big ol' backpack. It's a lot bigger than I expected, so it took me by surprise when I started wearing it, because it was a lot bigger than normal backpacks. I got used to it quickly, now I use it almost everyday. It's quality is very apparent, very strong, very handy (its got so many pockets and molle straps). All around great backpack. I plan on buying another once this one breaks (which won't be anytime soon).

Mostly good
The backpack is mostly seems like a great durable 3 day pack. A few minor issues. If you're looking at the dimensions thinking this would make a great sized carry on for flying, there's a couple issues. Size listed here is the same as on the label. But that size only accounts for the inner main pouch if you don't stuff it too much. Then there's 2 side pouches that'd hold a quart SS vacuum insulated water bottle, each, making the total width closer to 18". On the front, there's a somewhat thin pouch that could probably hold a medium sized college text book, adding at least another 1.5-2" in that dimension. I flew with it recently and was able to stuff it under the seat in the middle seat (aisle seats seem to have smaller under seat capacity), but it was only lightly packed with squishable clothes and only in the main compartment. It was really comfortable to carry and most the zippers and straps seem solid enough. The clasp for the upper cinch straps seems out of place since it doesn't look like it'll hold up to repeated opening and closing like the buckles on the lower cinch strap. This top clasp (pictured) needs to be opened and closed every time you open the main compartment and fold it out flat so i don't know why they made it such a janky clasp. So depending on your intended use of this pack, and a minor upgrade to the upper cinch clasp, this makes a great sturdy pack for the price.

Solid build, great capacity, awesome price, best deal IMO
I received the SOG Barrage tactical bag about a week and a half ago with the intention of it becoming my BOB. After spending weeks of reading reviews on different options I finally settled on the SOG for it's capacity, it's functionality, and most of all; the price! (I got it on sale here for $50) Upon getting the bag I gave it a thorough inspection and everything seemed to work as it should. The zippers aren't YYK but they are strong and seem to function as they should (although I did run a candle along it to help them run smoother and not snag as easily). I'm very impressed with the overall capacity of the bag as it seems to hold everything I need for a 72 hour emergency kit and then some! I like that it has molle all over it, but to be honest, with the space provided I doubt I will need any additional storage. Otherwise it will become too heavy. My only two complaints about the bag are as follows: The sternum strap is a little too tight. Not sure that I would be able to easily wear a winter coat with the bag over it (I'm 5'9" 200lb). Also the bottom compression straps have plastic buckles that work awesome, however the top straps connect via this plastic piece that snaps together. It takes a bit to get it to clasp correctly and I'm not quite sure why SOG couldn't just put buckles on the top compression straps as well. Although they do feel like cheap plastic clasps, once they are secure I can fairly aggressively tighten the compression strap and it seems to work great. If they worked on those two things this bag would be perfect for me. All and all I'm very pleased with my purchase. I will update as needed.

This bag looked good, and had all the features I wanted. Plus, I'd heard good things about the SOG brand. Unfortunately, its build quality is utter crap. The first bag I got, the top left tensioner clip broke as soon as I tightened the strap. As soon as it broken, the bag is unusable as the front half just flops down. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and got a replacement sent out. The replacement arrived already broken in the exact same place. Its Wish.com-quality stuff with a $150 price tag.

Great bag with lots of space and well put together, Great for bugout. The cheaper bags for $50 or so have bad stitching and fall apart. Get this bag if you want to keep it under $100.
