Safe, Strong and best carabiner for Rappelling
Awesome for rappelling, locks up good, has plenty of room for rope wraps and is very affordable. The round bar design allows for smooth rope operations.

Five Stars! It worked very well for me!
Well my purchase of this wasn’t for what you think. You see, I bought this black diamond carabiner because I wanted to propose to my boyfriend in a unique way. We hike often and went on a trail that was so terrifying (to me, who is afraid of heights) that I kept saying I needed a carabiner for support to attach to the cables on the trail. (The trail had ladders too. Terrifying for those of us who aren’t rock climbers). Fast forward a few months, and I decided to propose to him (he had asked before but I wasn’t ready). I wanted to propose with a diamond, but also wanted to be original. This carabiner did the trick. It even has “Black Diamond” stamped on it. I asked, he said yes, so we will take the plunge. With the awesome support of this heavy duty carabiner, of course. Five stars, this definitely worked!

Great Carabiner from Black Diamond
2025.07.15 - Use these things for everything. Keyrings, kite string anchor points, climbing, repelling. The twistlock gate action is quite nice. Would defiantly recommend to anyone looking for a strong easy to use anchor point.

When you want the best
These twist lock carabiners are awesome. This is the first twist lock carabiner I could actually get to work easily 1 handed. While holding the carabiner in one hand, I can use either a single finger or thumb (depending on the orientation of the carabiner) to twist the lock and open it. Other, cheaper, twist lock's I've gotten work but tend to stick if you try to use them one handed. These Black Diamond Twistlock Carabiners are the best. I converted all of my carabiners over to these so I am consistent with devices that keep me safe and secure at height.

Great Quality - recommended if you just need a twist lock and not a 'lift & twist' lock. As you can open a twist lock with one hand, the other lift & twist lock can be awkward to do with one hand... To be used as part of a Petzl personal belay.
