Effective compression garments for the maintenance phase of Lymphedema Therapy.
These were purchased for one of my patients. They have history of severe lower extremity lymphedema with associated ulcers. After getting them stable with Complete Decongestive Therapy, and the wounds healed, we were able to move to these for management of their condition on a long term basis. These are best used in one of two circumstances: 1. The legs have been reduced and stabilized as mentioned above. 2. The legs are not severe to start with, and only maintenance of current levels is required. These are much easier for patients to don themselves when compared to pull on garments. Especially if they are dealing with arthritis or weakness in their hands. These are designed for maintenance, not reduction of volume levels. If you have lymphedema that is severe, you should already have gotten treatment for reduction and stabilization by a certified lymphedema therapist. The fit and comfort depends on the leg shape. Some trial and error may be involved. Some minor fluctuations in volume levels of your legs may occur during the transition. Because of the way these are fastened, there is a limit to how tight you can go. The ends of the bandages will hit the next folding layer if your legs get too small. If your leg outgrows them due to an increase in edema, you won’t be able to fasten the Velcro. This is one reason why you must stabilize with CDT phase 1 prior to getting these garments. Quality is good, and the Velcro holds well. I usually use a protective stockinette inside and outside to keep the Velcro in place during daily activity (so the edges don’t catch on anything) and to keep them from getting soiled or dirty. When needed, hand wash, then lay flat to dry. Have an alternative compression solution to wear while these get cleaned and dry. With daily wear they should last about 6 months before having to replace them. Sometimes patients will get longer wear if they are not super active. (It’s better to be active!) Overall these are one of the must have options for the maintenance phase of lymphedema therapy and long term management of the condition. There are other options available if these don’t quite work out due to irregular leg shape or tissue density. The nice thing about Amazon is that if the fit doesn’t work out, returns should be hassle free as long as the garments are in like new condition. Highly recommended!

Cost effective solution that works
They work well as a generic wrapper to reduce swelling plus they are cost effective. These were my second purchase

New version open question
Have used ReadyWraps for a while now. Durable, feel good, adjustable. These are my third pair, hope they have not "improved" what worked well.

They really work!!
After struggling for years with Ace bandages & JuxtaLites (don't bother with JuxtaLites, just start with ReadyWraps), my PT recommended these & they work wonderfully!! They DON'T have to be readjusted hourly & they DON'T slide downward. I've worn them for as long as 7 days without needing to do anything more than loosen & retighten them daily (per my PT's instructions). I've never had to yank them up or adjust the straps to keep them up. Two criticisms: The Velcro straps are as hard to subdue as a 12-armed octopus & can be difficult to apply. The price is waaaaaay tooooo high for the product's expected 1-year lifespan, so once again the medi-ceutical companies are screwing us consumers who must use their products.

Worked well for 3 months.
I have been wearing these every day for less than 3 months. They worked well, but now the Velcro has a problem holding and they are starting to fall apart.
