Just installed! Love this viewer!
Installed on my metal door. It looks great. I can see so much better who is out front. I have a ring camera, but when someone knocks it so much easier to stand 18 inches in front of your door and just see who is out there. Very easy to see now. And you can't see from the outside if someone is looking out because you see from 18 inches away so you don't see the transparent hole go dark. I have a really old metal door that I put this in, and haven't sanded or painted around it yet. Very happy with the purchase.

Great peephole
Make sure you measure your hole. We already had one like this, so the door was already cut, but it's a thick peephole. Double check your measurements. It was perfect for us. Crystal clear wide view

Low tech superiority
Better than a regular peephole, and visual quality is great. I wanted this partly because it's something that wouldn't require an app and wouldn't make me press my face to the door. The biggest drawback to me with this is the viewing angle. The center will stay visible for quite a while, but even slight angles can make the edges black out. So installing true and orthogonal to the door, and at a good height for your viewing are needed. Otherwise it's great; you can clearly see the viewer from several feet/ meters back.

Love this huge peephole!
Installing this peephole was not exactly a breeze, but now that it's done I can tell you that I love having this thing to see if anyone is outside without actually having to go to the door. We just went through a break in, which has left my wife and I a little more paranoid about people coming by. The peace of mind this gives us is great. You can see a mini image of anything going on outside projected to the 'surface' of the inside glass lens. This image is uncannily like a glowing little picture of what is outside and will be sure to catch the eye of guests when they come over. We can pretty much get the idea if someone is at the door from over 30 feet away, and see perfect details from only 5-10 feet away. My only complaints are that the craftsmanship of this item is a little cheep. I was expecting something made of brass or another metal, but aside from the lenses it is all plastic. Additionally, installing this thing will require drilling another hole in your door the size of the one used for your door nob. Somehow it all seems very insecure, and I would have been much happier with a nice metal bezel on the outside to prevent someone from just slamming the whole unit through. Another (expected) limitation is that since this is just collecting light from outside and projecting it inside through lenses, you will not be able to see ANYTHING if there is not near daylight levels of lighting outside. At night, even with a lamp near the door, you won't see much unless someone is standing just right. We left our other peep hole in the door just in case we needed it at night. But this is to be expected and is not a flaw of the device, but rather a limitation of how it works. Pro tip: don't install this up as high as your eye level, like you would a regular peep hole. You will want it lower so that you can see anyone short or hiding low on the other side of the door.

WOW, Pure Magic
Photos don't do this thing justice. I started with one to test and was surprised how large it was, but it works very well. Stand back from the door a couple feet and see whats on the other side. I ordered three more for other doors at the facility.

Need to be eye level about 5 feet away
We put this where an old peephole was and it’s low on the door for a 6ft tall person but I assumed it would be easy to see with the large viewing port on the back. It is not, you need to be almost eye level and you can’t walk up close to it because the image goes away based on how the optics work. It’s adequate but not the greater in my opinion.
