Leg Gaiters with Hook and Loop Straps – Soft Neoprene, Basic Lower-Leg Protection for Yard Work, Mountain Biking, Outdoor Use, and General Shin/Calf Protection (Pair)

I like these leg gaiters and purchased my second pair this year. I have been cutting wood, hauling it and burning it since May 2025 after Michigans worst ice storm hit Northern Michigan and damaged over 3M acres of forest. My skin tears easily but wearing these leg gaiters has saved me many scrapes and cuts. They are easy to place on your legs as the Velcro works great and these protectors do work, they protect your lower legs and they are comfortable too. I’ve really grown to depend on them and since I wear shorts when I’m out working I feel unprotected with out them and it’s the first thing I do before heading off into the woods

I wasn’t too sure about these when I bought them but after using them several times I like them. It’s too hot to work in pants around here so I always wear shorts meaning I must have some supplemental leg protection when using my string trimmer. I previously used chainsaw chaps and they worked great but are a bit hot, bulky and difficult to get on and off with so many straps. These shin guards are excellent. Fast and easy to get on and off they add protection where it is most needed and help me keep cool at the same time. The trimmer can blast plant material, rocks and anything else at my legs all day and I don’t feel a thing. Definitely a good buy.

My shins looked like I'd had a chainsaw accident until I bought these... great protection for cheap cost. I use them every day, toss in the washer and good as new. Good protection that weighs very little and doesn't interfere with movement. Basic black, they do what's intended.

Got these to prevent shin bruising when working in the yard. Better than those you wear like socks but kind of thin pads. Hockey shin guards might be more effective.

I use this paddings when I am hiking. They seem to fit my legs pretty well and my legs are fairly large so they offer extra protection in terms of injuries. I wouldn’t use them if I am trying to protect my legs from snakes, but they do very well when I am, moving in bushy or rocky areas. They do film a bit warm as if you have an added layer of clothing that provides significant warm during the colder days. I think they are well suited when you are trying to hike wearing shorts because when you use them, you felt like you have pants on. I also feel like they are great during the winter as a secondary clothing because of the warm the Velcro straps seems to be very well-made. They are comfortable. The length of the items itself seems to fit my legs very well.

I use these for added protection for my shins on my mountain bike rides. I ride a 6 mile loop with 900ft elevation gain, single track. I carry them in my jersey pockets on the climb and easily put them on before the descent. Since I ride 3-4 times weekly the various scrapes, nicks and scratches really add up. So far I can definitely attest to their protection from the brush. They are neoprene and like a wetsuit can get warm. I haven't found it to be an issue and feel the benefits are worth it. In one area of stream crossing there is also considerable poison oak. Last time I had a bad bout the rash started on my calf so these gators should help. I rinse them by hand thoroughly after each use and lay them out to dry. So far so good. I have used them about 5 times now. They seem well constructed and I have not had any irritation or allergic reaction.

Great! Just what I was looking for to solve the problem of weedwhacking while wearing shorts (because it’s just too hot in the Florida summer). Keeps my shins from stinging when those inevitable pieces of debris kick back.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am glad I decided to purchase this item over others I looked at. I am 6ft. tall and they fit perfect with more expansion if needed. The comfort is good but on a hot 96 degree day they do sweat some. I purchased this pair for grass trimming my lawn and to protect my legs from getting marred up. This brand is also very lightweight and adds to the comfort. The Velcro is strong and stays put when fastened. After use I used my powerful vacuum brush to clean up and they clean up without much effort. From now on when I need to wear shorts because of the heat, these protectors do the job of keeping my legs from getting small cuts from the rocks. Overall this is a very good product and 5 stars in my opinion.

I bought these to protect my lower legs from the excessive engine heat of my motorcycle. I wear them under my riding jeans. Very comfortable. Very and easy to fit and remove. They block the heat perfectly. 10/10.

I use these to protect my legs as I have fragile skin .they are excellent for protection against cuts whilst in the garden.

I have been wearing these to mountain bike for the last 2 months. They work well, stay up and the velcro works well. I rinse them in water every few rides. They are somewhat warm, but provide good protection of my lower legs against scratches from vegetation and lacerations from my pedals.
