50 Cal BMG Clipper Refillable Adjustable Lighter - 50 BMG Casing Enclosure Case - Solid Brass

It's a clipper lighter in a .50 BMG brass case, which is really cool. It's one of the high-end metal clipper lighters, I've had good luck with the cheaper plastic version so I expect this to work for a long time. Even if the lighter fails, I can just pull this one out and drop a new one into the brass case. I've always felt clipper lighters were just a little too short for my hand so the brass case adds a little extra length and it's perfect. I was a little hesitant about buying because some of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I bought one because I can't find any flaw with it. I absolutely love it! The 'case' is the main reason I bought this, and I'm super happy. It looks great, it's heavy with a low center of gravity, and the shell casing doesn't attract fingerprints. The case also prevents casual misuse of the flame adjustment, and encourages you to stand it vertically. Much harder to lose it, or forget that it's in a hand or pocket! If the lighter on the inside ever fails permanently, I can just buy a new Clipper and slot it in. Major plus! -0.5 (but not really) stars come from cosmetic stuff: the loose dirt/soot/residue on the inside of the shell casing, and the (small) scratches it leaves on the included lighter. Still worth it.

The tin came dented where the lighter was smashed into tin. Went to check flame adjustment valve and it leaks horribly. If you accidentally touch it while its lit it lights up in a giant fireball. Not the safest lighter. Im not sure if it is just defective or what. Got it to give as a gift and there's no way I can give it to them in this condition.

Great novelty lighter. The 50 bmg brass is cut to perfectly accommodate the metal clipper lighter. It is held in place via pressure fit. Definitely paying for brass here. The brass case is already pretty well worn with a pretty good ding in the side of it, however, if this was a piece of genuine linked ammunition, I would expect nothing less. It has a fantastic weight to it and stands upright with good stability. Would be 5 stars, but my first package was lost, however a replacement was sent free of charge. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but for the gun/lighter enthusiast, I would say it is worth it. This would also make a great gift.

I bought this a long time ago and still carry it in my pocket (you never know when you have to make fire, lol). It is easy to refill and performs without any problems

Perfect fit. Nice and thick, but not too heavy. I love the look and feel. Very well crafted with no sharp spots or burrs. My .50 shell came from palmetto state armory. So cool.

The lighter works fine, the sleeve is as advertised but I mostly bought this because the description is for the old style lighter that has an adjustable flame. Flame isn’t adjustable so disappointed, I would recommend just buying the plastic clipper lighters they work great.
