QuickStudy World Map, Laminated Poster, 50" x 32"

My favorite map in world geography classroom, looks good and is accurate.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Detailed. Large. Not annoyingly bright color. Very very light laminate so it'll last all while not being so shiny, it can't be seen.

My house was built in 1960 so the furnace was in the crawl space under the house with an access panel in the floor of the hall. I didn't know this until pulling up the carpet. In refinishing the hardwood floor I wasn't going to stain plywood and "pretend" it was hardwood. I tried 3D decals etc. but I like to travel so why not a world map. Perfect perfect map, laminated, clear, readable, continents defined, borders defined. As far as the reviews above about the states not being outlined, this is a world map not a USA map, I'll say durable with 3 coats of polyurethane. Baseboards, qtr round not finished in these pics

My husband wanted maps to be able to show our children where things are. Whether a place we’ll be traveling to or just where something is happening in the world. We bought a US and world one. They’re a great size and look nice.

Awesome size, accuracy, color, quality and delivery time. Countries are to-date, have capitals and major cities, and have topography. Amazing!

The map has clean styling and an easy to read font set. The colors are subdued yet sufficiently saturated so that countries easily stand out. It's printed on a medium-weight paper that is lightly coated with a glossy laminate, so there's minimal glare. I like the cylindrical projection (so that all lines of longitude are straight). There's some vertical stretching, so that Greenland is noticeably too large, but it's not as severe as in a Mercator projection. I'd prefer more places/place names and US/Canada/Australia states/province borders. There is no Date Line. Some places seem off by a millimeter or two (like New Orleans in the middle of Lake Pontchartrain). "Witchita" is misspelled. The map was shipped in a map tube inside a sturdy outer box. However the map tube itself had been shipped to Amazon and was slightly compressed, leading to minor creases in the map.

Bought for my 10 yr old granddaughter. To help her in school and she absolutely loves it .

My plan is simple. Soon I'll be selling some property and I'll be travelling the world with my daughter. We wanted a big map of the world that was not laminated. Simple needs here. WHY THIS ONE: As mentioned, I didn't want a map that is laminated. The reason is that this will be in my daughters room, on her wall and by nature, there isn't a lot of natural light in there. The lights we do have in there will really cause a glare on anything that is glass or laminated. This map is just matte paper. Any reflection is very faint and minimal and you can still read it just fine from any angle. DETAILS: You can't expect a map of the word to list every city, but you hope it does list every major city. We are happy with the amount of detail on this. Plus, we want some exploration. So while I might want to visit Italy based on the cycling event Giro D'Italia's locations, I just need more of an approximation of where we are going. But this has every city we've looked for together so far. PLANNING: We use some push pins that were recommended by Amazon when we bought this. Multi-coloured and we each have our own colour. Our plan is when we are ready to go, we will see which locations have two colour pins on it and start from there :) THE EFFECT: My daughter loves that we have this on her wall. It gives her something to think about, and encourages her to learn more about the world and where she might want to go one day. CONCLUSION: Excellent value for the money. It arrived in a very solid cardboard tube - safe and no damage. Worth the purchase! THE TUBE: DO NOT waste the cardboard tube! I cut out a line in the top plastic, and now my daughter also has a really cool piggy bank!! Once it's filled she can get access to it. Overall, I'd consider the tube as a good investment too :)

Very good map, its plastic coated and quality is excellent for this price. My 8 year old liked it very much. An apt birthday gift for kids.
