Everbuild Satin Wood Stain – Indoor And Outdoor Use – Weatherproof – UV-Resistant – Quick Drying – Solvent Free – Rose Wood – 2.5 Litre

I purchased this stain to tidy up a wooden table and chairs given to us by a relative. First I spent some time preparing the set by sanding the remains of the previous stain away while providing a decent key for the new stuff to go on to. I then began to apply the stain and found it’s really easy to work with and goes a lot further than I expected. A 750ml tin did a full coat on the table, stand and all four chairs with a splash left for touch ups. It dries quickly and it dries well providing what seems to be a solid coat and seal over the top of the wood. I don’t think long term chipping will be a problem with the moderate traffic we will have on it. I kept the set in the garage for a few days after as I didn’t want it out in the elements straight away while giving it adequate time to cure. It’s been out in use now for a week or so and seems to be faring well after some light use and the occasional wet weather we have had. I did only apply a single coat as I didn’t have the time and couldn’t warrant the expense of applying the recommended three. It looks a lot better than what it did before application and I am very pleased with the results. Time will tell how long it lasts, but I’m not expecting a lifetime as Everbuild do obviously recommend three coats. Overall I am very pleased with the finished results and it was definitely worth £10 and an afternoon of my time to carry out the job.

This item is easy to apply, a great colour and excellent waterproofed for wood outdoors. Highly recommended.

Product excellent. Well packaged but despatched 27th Feb two day delivery evri finally delivered today 7th March. Had I known evri was courier I would not have ordered they are absolute rubbish either run late, damaged packaging or just doesn’t get here! Star based on product not delivery that would have none. Had I got it when it should have arrived I’d have given 5 but change your courier!!!

I purchased this wood stain to use on my garden seats as they have not been treated for a long time, this wood stain is a very good colour easy to apply and goes a long way and feels very durable it's made my garden seats look like new.

Bought the 2.5l tin as I thought I'd need a lot, I was very wrong. I've done 2 full coats and 3 coats in some areas, of the whole table, and benches, including underneath, and still have about 75% of the tin left. Make sure you sand it down to bare wood, as if you apply on an old varnish or lacquer, I doubt it would soak in and end up just flaking off. I bought a bosch sander for this job but didn't work well, so ended up using a 120grit sanding disc on a bosch grinder, just in case someone needed help with that. Dries very fast, by the time I had finished doing 1 whole cost of everything, it was dry and ready for the next coat. I thought I wouldn't like the colour that much but it's growing on me, really pops in the sunlight and brings out the wood grain. Considering this table and bench was 2nd hand, it's come up looking brand new, so very impressed, recommend.

Really good product, quick drying & easy to use. Ordered & used 1 tin so ordered another, 2nd tin so bashed & damaged that when I tried to open it the contents went everywhere. Raised it with Amazon who said they would send a replacement … no replacement sent, told them impossible to package damaged tin (with photos) then got charged again for faulty product !!! Really good wood stain but Amazon let me down

Perfect for my parched, sun dried exterior window sills. Goes on well, good colour (rosewood) with a satin finish. Lots of pre rubbing down with various grades of sandpaper but that’s because mine have been left unattended for years. Worth it though to get the perfect finish. Brushes easily washed in water with an added squirt of washing-up liquid. I’ve just bought another tin and would highly recommend!

I bought this to stain the wood floor in our small summer house only to find that it says not for floors on the tin!
