This book is done in the style of old school text books. Aimed at students I would imagine. It's not a book I will ever read twice, and I'm not sure I will even refer to it that much in the future either . Following some of the diagnostic channels on you tube will give a far greater understanding ( also free) and a better visual and more interesting grasp of the world of auto diagnostics. The book dosent flow very well. Makes you feel like you are back in school rather than using well laid out service manual. And the price is just ridiculously expensive for what it is. It's comprehensive no doubt, but you really wouldn't have a hope of using it as a reference to carry out work in a real world environment. *edit* downgraded to 2 stars after reading it all. There really is no advantage to anyone who is interested in auto diagnostics , to buy this book. The level of detail is vague. There are basically only 2 pages on wiring diagrams, with no explanation of how to read them. This is as I suspected " a textbook" where a tutor takes parts of it and elaborates and explains it to a class. Save your money...there are far better ways. I think the author is selling on his name only.

The book is best ,for those who want to dive deep into the sea Full of practical automobile knowledge, make sure that you must have engineering background in order to get the things understand, and about book -it covers all the topics of electrical as well as automotive electronics, and most of the faults relates to enginesthe pages are good and images are glossy , I think binding quality might give issues in future but all and all this book is a must have for all mechanics ,and interested engineers !

I was expecting more in depth but its a good starter. Maybe the wrong choice for me but its a good summary of current technology.
