Good quality-robust+solid. Very easy+light to manoeuvre. Everything included in the box.
I found the mower heavy to remove from the box as I was on my own. I cut one of the sides from the box and simply wheeled it easily onto my patio. I removed the batteries and charger first and set them off charging whilst I went back to tackle the assembly. The picture leaflet that was enclosed with the manual was not very easy for me to follow and the figs. were not very clear especially for the drawing of the locking mechanism. I was however, able to construct the mower fairly quickly after searching and watching a very helpful YouTube Video. There are not many components to assemble - it’s mainly the upper handles and the collection box but it was important to know how to lock and unlock the handles for folding to store and unfolding to use. The batteries were very easy to understand and took approx. 3 hours to fully charge to the 3 static green indicator lights - all very straightforward. Start Procedure: The batteries were very easy to insert into the top compartment of the mower and after about 15 minutes scratching my head I managed to figure out how to get the blade to engage. It is all down to pressing the start button and pulling the levers in the correct sequence. 1). Press the start button 2). Pull the outer lever towards the handle whilst keeping the start switch pressed - this engages the motor + the blade. 3). Push the lever that’s next to your body towards the handle and the self propulsion kicks in. I have the speed set at a very gentle beginners snail pace. My grass was very long and tufty as this was the first cut to be attempted since the beginning of November so I set the cutting height to 5 and the mower cut through it all very cleanly. I found the mower very easy to manoeuvre around the garden and I was able to cut most of the grass before the batteries died after approx 40 mins. I have a very large rear garden and I didn’t expect the batteries to last to the end of the first cut. I easily folded and packed the mower away and I am very impressed that the undercarriage is clearly accessible to clear and clean before storage. I set the batteries back on the charger with the intention of picking up where I left off the next day. Day 2 and I tackled the front grass first. The mower started like a dream and 20 minutes later I have the front completely mown. Moving to tackle the remaining grass at the rear I was able to cut the main area of uncut grass before the batteries stopped - probably another 20 minutes. This just leaves me with a 10’ verge of long grass to cut on the right hand side which will probably take another 20 minutes after the batteries re-charge. Unfortunately the rain has returned today (Day3) so I will tackle the verge on the next dry day. The cut grass looks great. The mower has made the job very easy and I am confident that future cuts will take half the time and probably just one charge of the batteries on a lower height setting. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

The Rolls Royce of electric lawnmowers
The Greenworks 48V (2x24V) Self Propelled Cordless Lawnmower for Large Lawns up to 480m2, 46cm Cutting Width, 55LBag is an amazing machine. It has a very elgant style like a Rolls Royce and is as powerful as a Sherman Tank. It has a 46 cm. cutting width ideal for large gardens and being self propelled you choose and regulate the speed without killing yourself, on the contrary ,you glide around the garden effortlessly like a ballerina. The unit comes with two 24v rechargable batteries and you feel the full 48V power when you attack thick patches of grass and weeds. It has 3 in 1 system, rear bagger, mulch and side discharge and its 55l collection bag goes a long way to give a long mowing time without stopping too often at the pits to empty the bag. The thing that amazed me the most is the cooling fan at the base of the charger to avoid overheating while charging the batteries and when the batteries are fuly charged it switches off automaticaly thus avoiding overcharging. I love this beauty and never ever in my life I would have imagined that mowing the lawn would have become one of my favourite hobbies. The price paid is worth every pound and you will never ever regret buying it. The 3 years warranty give you peace of mind regarding possible technical issues that might occur, but I doubt it. The unit is built with high quality components strong and robust to last you a life time. I highly reccomend it if you are looking for a strong reliable electric lawnmower, probably the best available.

Overalk its a very good mower
Its a really great mower for large lawns and can get right to the edge. Although a bit heavy and bulky it is easy to push or pull around - and with a bit of practice one person can get it up and down steps. Requires purchase of a spare set of batteries to be of use in the larger gardens it is designed for, as a large lawn needs more than one charge. All that said it is a great mower, easy to operate, and the self propel makes cutting the grass much easier. The price is extremely competitive (but factor in significant addirional cost of 2nd set of batteries)

Expensive but is it worth it?
This mower came in a large box because this machine is heavy, probably because the main carriage is steel. Initial set up was easy and within minutes we were ready to go. I just needed to charge the 2 batteries. Charged the batteries in a couple of hours and installed them into the mower and away I went. The self propulsion is a real bonus with the machine being as heavy as a sack of spuds. It cut the grass quite adequately and quickly, one can alter the speed it goes so it will go at your pace. The closeness of cut has 5 settings too. I have a sizeable back lawn and a slightly smaller front and I manage to get two full cuts from each battery charge which is ample for me. I note in other reviews people complain it doesn't have a roller but that's no problem for me, the days of stripy lawns are well gone because I just can't be bothered. Everything about the mower is well thought out and well made with quality parts as far as I can see. It is expensive, but when I look at comparable petrol mowers for a few quid less I realise this battery mower will require minimum servicing and no trips to the petrol station with the petrol can. No spark plug to replace and no messy two stroke oil to worry about. Is it worth the expense? You bet it is!

Ordered this Greenworks 17" Cut Brushless Push Lawn Mower - W/Dual 24V batteries & 65W Type-C Dual Port Charger - W/(2) - 3ft Cables - for quick and convenient charging - for our Daughter. She just purchased her first home and the lot/lawn is about 0.30 acre. Since she always helped me mow while growing up, I wanted to do something special for her housewarming party. After giving it serious thought and her situation of not even having a mower & alone, I thought some type of mower would be great for her. So I started searching online for a mower for her smaller lawn. I looked at several gas mowers, sizes, engines, and prices. Then I saw this Greenworks push mower that has a brushless motor and uses no gas, no oil, and is operated totally by (2) 24 volt batteries, and that got my attention and started reading about it and how it really works. After reading that it has a strong powerful "brushless motor" and is practically maintenance free, and comes with (2) 4.0 ah batteries and a dual port charger, and comes complete, and also that on just one full charge, it will mow a lawn up to the size of (2) tennis courts, I placed my order for it. This is one very nice mower. It came complete almost ready to use right out of the box. All I had to do was attach the mower handle and it clips/snap locks into place, and charge both batteries, a very easy set up. The handle folds down for a space saving storage when not in use in her garage. It takes up very little space. It also came with the 17" blade already on mower. The 7" wheels were already on the mower ready to go. I like that it came with a 50L size clip on bagger for gathering up grass & mulch clippings while mowing to have a nice and clean mowed, debris free lawn. Daughter loves it and loves mowing with it as it's so quiet and a lighter weight mower than most and always starts with just the push of the button on the handle. She also likes that she can mow her whole lawn on just one charge. Also likes that she don't have to worry about trying to start an ole gas engine as sometimes they get flooded out with gas. She also likes that there's no oil to check or other fluids, and best part of "no gas to buy & store". This mower is "emissions free" and good for the environment and that's a big plus in my opinion. I thought it was a fair price, especially when considering the long term cost of extra maintenance, gas, oil, plugs, grease, and repairs on a gas operated mower. It comes with a (3) year warranty on the mower and batteries for extra peace of mind. She's one happy camper and it's the perfect color for her as "green" has always been her favorite color. It easily earns a (5) star rating in my opinion
