Got off prilosec!
I have been taking prescription prilosec for many years, but recently became aware of two studies, one in America and one abroad, that said proton-pump inhibitors can increase the likelyhood of senior demensia by as much as 44%. I wanted off prilosec, but found I had extreme problems, and usually couldn't go more than 48 hours without it, and those were troublesome hours. I read about slippery elm, and have been using it for almost a month now. I couldn't be more amazed. I followed directions, made sure to take my regular medicines first, because slippery elm can cause you to not absorb them as well, and in all this time I've only had to take prilosec three times. And each time was because I ate very spicy Mexican food. I am so pleased with this product, and hope it works as well for everyone else. I do have to occasionally take the chewable licorice tablets Enzymatic Therapy Dgl Chewables, Original, 100 Tablets (Pack of 2) during the day, and the combination works very well to control any heartburn or acid reflux I might have due to what I'm eating. I recommend you get both products to try, it really does the trick! Good luck!

Diagnosed with Gastritis; this medicine though
I was diagnosed with gastritis on February 2016, they gave me omeprazole and I took it for only 3-4 days because I was experiencing chest pains all day on and off. I got off it and I finally purchased this kind for myself to see how it works on me. First day, I didn't really notice what effects it had on me. 2nd day, I decided to give it a try & my stomach pain was gone in about 30 minutes for all day until late evening. I say this one really does its job despite it being a herbal medicine. I think it works better than omeprazole for me. I also use Enzymatic Therapy DGL (licorice) chewable 20-30 minutes before meals to protect my lining and soothe it. This products makes me want to try the powder version since Slippery Elm actually works on me. I heard they're better for at home. And this one for On-The-Go.

I normally take slippery elm bark extract powder - but ...
I normally take slippery elm bark extract powder - but of course, this is more convenient. Sometimes, I take 3 times a day for gastritis. Works better than any recommendations by modern medicine, ie PPIs, and antacids, which made my symptoms much worse for years. But then I have a lot of food allergies which caused asthma, gastritis, GERD, diarrhea so I took Histoplex for food allergies and all those problems are much improved now. I think modern medicine will in time be considered the dark ages because they are so blind to alternatives that work better. Also, I take DGL the powder that is taken after meals not before. I take a double dose at least and that helps a lot. Anyway, I am glad I found my own way and after many years of "modern medicine," I am now much improved.

But you should know that this doesn't heal your stomach issue for good unless you do some efforts for yourself
I've had acid reflux/heartburn/gastritis since 2014. I took Omeprazole for few months when I had severe pain and switched to Zantac (Lanitidine). But for a long term Zantac is not the solution so I wanted something more natural. It's been 2 weeks since I started this and I definitely think it is helping. I take this every morning around 8 am 30 mins before I eat something. But you should know that this doesn't heal your stomach issue for good unless you do some efforts for yourself. I lost 20lbs by cutting off the portion of my food and because I don't wanna have that pain again I am controlling myself really hard. I am a foodie and love hamburgers, french fries or any other junk foods. If you want to eat them without suffering stomach issue, take this everyday for yourself, but do not eat a lot at once and do some exercise. UPDATE (4/24/2017) I just ordered 2nd bottle. It does help me. I am afraid of eating food if I don't take this morning. I am really satisfied.

Good Product
Still testing this product. I have been on Acid Blockers for 30 Years. I am down to 7.5mg a day, and I am taking this product along with licorice one time a day and it seems to be working. I plan on taking this for awhile and then reduce my medication to 3.6mg a day in about a month. My goal is to get off all medication and this is the last one I am taking. I would give it a try. It works well.

The only thing that worked
I have been battling Chronic Gastritis for over a year, but wasn't officially diagnosed until this past fall. I was put on 40mg's of Omeprazole (PPI). It worked ok, but after about 2 months, I began noticing joint pain that got worse and worse. I have had arthritis since my thirties and this medication really caused a major flare in my hands, my spine, and my ribs. I knew I had to get off of it asap. Everytime I would wean down, and stop the Omeprazole, my stomach pain would return, along with severe acid reflux if I ate anything. I was on a lower dose of Slippery Elm, and Licorice, but it just didn't help all that much. However, when I tried this brand/mg's, after about 3 days, I began noticing improvement. I have been taking this for about a week now, and I can now go an entire day without taking antacids, or other stomach remedies. I plan to stay on this product!

Works for gastric ulcers
Was diagnosed with a gastric ulcer back in late January and the doc wanted me to take an acid blocker which is pretty standard treatment for this issue. Lowering or inhibiting one's stomach acid content for 2-3 months while an ulcer healed just didn't make sense to me when I could use a product like this to create a coating in my stomach without affecting the actual digestion/immunity actions of the stomach acid. This product works excellently as a barrier to soothe and block the pain of the stomach acid on an ulcer. I take one in the morning with a meal and one in the evening with dinner and I have zero discomfort. I highly recommend.
