Think Fun Shape by Shape

I love to do these puzzles. They mske me alert and keep me engaged. I like the tactile feel of the pieces. Much better than online puzzles.

My Aunt got this game for me as a young girl. I absolutely loved it! I don't have kids, but I just had to buy it for myself, because I remember having such fond memories of it. It was perfect for road trips and could keep me entertained for hours! Here are some reasons why I love this game. 1. It comes with a travel pouch 2. It's small enough for easy storage in the car and for traveling with. 3. It keeps the mind active and sharp 4. The puzzle peices are a nice size. Not too small (so they won't get lost). 5. There is a secret compartment in the box to keep the cards. Very nifty! All in all, this is a wonderful toy for kids. Great for the mind and something that kids and parents alike can both feel good about!

I bought this game as a fun, but educational, breaktime game to use with my seven year old during homeschool sessions. It's something he can play completely independently, but will keep him at the school table and engaged between worksheets. It does a beautiful job! It's easy to understand the concept, and the challenges get incrementally more difficult. I've played with it myself and find myself enjoying getting stumped. It's well-made and worth the price. Good stuff!

I ordered this ThinFun Shape and Shape a month ago for $10. It's right before Christmas when I saw the deal and I was thinking hmm ... it'd been raining for the whole month, better get this for some fun indoors. Hey, it turned out to be really fun! Not only me but did my friends love it. It's not very hard though. Sometimes there are more than one solutions to a puzzle. Each puzzle took me around 2~5 minute to finish. The more you think of it, the more fun you got out of it, and the faster you'll get it done. I was so surprised that even my parents love playing it and it ended up as a Christmas gift to my dad :D. The box is 13cm x 13cm x 3cm. All 14 puzzle pieces and the box are made of plastic. Each puzzle piece is hollow and light-weight. I actually prefer to heavier material because I used to link more weight to higher value, like gold :). Each of the 60 card has a puzzle on one side and the solution the other side. Puzzles are numbered but not ranked by difficulty level. Honestly speaking, it is not even possible to rank it due to dramatic difference between each individual mind. It's simple but complicated when you guess wrong, plain but splendid as the result shows up, old but new every time you play. It's true that you can even make it out of a cardboard with scissors yourself. However, when you spend money on something you tend to be more serious about using it and also feel more responsible for its outcome - you are right, I'm thinking about my tuitions right now, lol. This toy has a great educational value. It makes you think and think harder, helps to let you try more possibilities (before giving up), helps you to be subtle, flexible, and more importantly, humble. Overall, it is a fantastic toy, and its value is far beyond a toy.

I'm a box packer for Amazon so all of the coolest, most popular stuff goes through my hands. I am therefore extremely guilty of going home and ordering items that I've packed over the course of my day. This little thing IMMEDIATELY caught my eye. I'm 50 and can remember playing with puzzles like this one when I was little. This "kit" is perfect for either home or travel. There are eight yellow pieces and six red ones. You have to arrange them on the gray base tray to match the designs on the cards (a deck of 60 is included). On the front of each numbered card is the shape you're supposed to build on the board. On the back of each card are hints which will show you the exact shapes of the pieces in the completed picture. This is challenging whether you are young or old. This would definitely be a good toy for little ones to learn how to carefully think things through. The deck of cards fits into a little drawer in the side of the grey base and they give you a little drawstring bag to put the entire thing into. This would be best for a teenager who does a lot of babysitting, or anyone who is a fan of cool puzzles. Good gift for grandparents to buy for grandchildren too; they will regularly "rediscover" this toy numerous times as they grow. I absolutely cannot imagine anyone EVER being dissatisfied with this item or wanting to return it for ANY reason....

I teach a critical thinking class to 5-8th grade and they absolutely love this game. It states 1 player but they like to work together helping each other out so it works for us. Plus it's a great down time game for those on the spectrum.

Great game for little humans. I played it with my kids, who are 6 and 3.5 years old. The older one played independently and not needed my help. The younger kid played on his own way - he used the "cheating" side of the card to copy the pattern. He made it color by color, and to my pleasure, I could see him progressing fast. The game is challenging, enjoyable and may bring pleasure to adults as well. The materials the game is made of, as usual for Thinkfun games, are of excellent quality. I much appreciate the closable storage bag.
