Black Chin Strap

Excellent quality durable and comfortable to wear. I have tried other models but this one has been the easiest and comfortable to use.

I washed mine with the bed sheets in a washing maching, and then let it air dry. But, after doing so, only the piece of cloth that touches your chin stinks really badly. It's difficult to desribe the smell, the first thing that came to mind was mulch, like what you use for a garden bed - its a very stiff smell, makes you say 'oof, not good'. And so unfortunately its so bad it has made the chin strap totally useless for me. If you're the seller and willing to exchange please let me know. It was otherwise a good product, not fun to wear but definitely kept my mouth closed, which kept my mouth and throat moist during sleep. And it fit well.

I bought this product because my open-mouth night breathing was causing dry mouth. I woke up several times a night to drink water, and my dentist was getting concerned. This product solved my problem. I'm sleeping through the whole night! I no longer wake up with dry mouth and overall sleeping much more comfortably. It took a few days to get used to wearing it, but got used to it fairly quickly.

I was surprised to get a request from Amazon for a review of a chinstrap that cost around ten bucks. What am I supposed to say? I have been on a CPAP for years, and for a lot of those years I've needed something to keep my mouth from coming open while I sleep and making the CPAP less effective. The medical supply company provided a far inferior chinstrap . They listed the price as a whole lot more than ten bucks, but with medical pricing I have no idea what the real price was. This works better than the one supplied by the medical supply company. What else can I say? Since I only use it to sleep, I'm not terribly concerned with how fashionable it is or whether the color goes well with my eyes. My main concern is that it does what it's supposed to do, and it does. The suggested "Ideas" for this review included "smell." It has no noticeable smell. If it did, I'd be worried.

It was nice and comfortable and had no smell to use at first but then it stretched out for me and no longer was useful,as it became too large and flimsy and some strings started to unravel . I will try washing it and see if that can be of help.

Uncomfortable, the Velcro is obnoxiously loud when adjusting the fit, gave me acne on my chin. It did keep my mouth shut overnight though.

I have bought 4 of these, they work great for my C-Pap to help keep my mouth closed. I always hand wash them with my C-Pap supplies and hang dry to help them last longer. I bought multiples so I can keep one in my travel bag and have a dry one when the others are being cleaned.

This item last 7-9 months and then I get another. I am on my fifth one. This chin trap keeps my mouth closed and works better than others. I recommend it.
