I bought these to peel eggplants. And they work great. The big one is easier to use in an up and down motion instead of sideways like the other one. I tried it on an eggplant and it works great. I'm sure it will work with oranges, apples, and many other fruits and veggies. This is not plastic. It is heavy duty metal meant to last a long time. I would buy it again.

The T shaped peeler was excellent but the straight peeler didn't peeler smoothly. Either the blade was not sharp enough or the angle of the cutting blade was not accurate. But, like I said, the T shaped peeler was excellent and I'd buy them again if just for that one. I'm going to contact the seller to see if they can send me a replacement of the one that did not work well.
