I'm a fan of this fan!
Purchased this wall mounted fan to go into our utility as it gets a bit too warm with the polycarb roof. It's a really good product, a decent sized head on it and, with it being a 5 blade fan, you seem to get a really good airflow from it. Simple to use, the timer function is really useful. Some people have said it's really noisy. Please see the attached video. I wouldn't say it's overly noisy although you need to expect some noise from a fan this size. Ours is mounted on a hollow stud and plasterboard wall and I was concerned that you may be able to hear the "drone" when it was running - you can't hear anything through the wall though so don't be put off by noise. The only reason I have knocked off a star for "easy to install" was, as others have said, the ridiculously short cable length and the fact that it is also coming out of the top of the housing. I ended up putting a longer flex on it and re-routing it through one of the slots in the bottom of the housing (as you can also see on the attached vid) - more appropriate for how we are set up. Other than that, installation is simple. One bracket to attach to the wall and it's job done! I'd recommend this fan.

Recommend with a few reservations.
Overall and with only a few reservations this is an excellent fan, very powerful, reasonably quiet and user friendly...other than what follows I would recommend it. 1) The power cable really needs to be longer unless you have a socket halfway up the wall you’re intending to install it on, mine was only just over a meter long. This wasn’t much of an issue for me but you may need to bear it in mind. 2) It may mention this in the advert but there were no batteries for the remote which is fairly unheard of nowadays, luckily I had 2 AAA’s hidden in the junk drawer. 3) Fitting the fan together was reasonably easy with the exception of getting the front and rear mesh units together. They are held in place using what is termed a shroud, it was quite simply the fiddliest thing I’ve had to do in a long time, a couple of clips would have been so much easier...I really missed my third hand for this task. 4) Not an issue for me but when in oscillating mode my fan turns more to the left than it does to the right. 5) It’s my opinion that a law should be passed to make every remote control made have backlit buttons :-) This one is also just the right size to lose down the back of the sofa.

Very good purchase!
This is a brilliant item! It is quite loud on the high setting, but as I can sleep through anything, it doesn't affect me. Brilliant breeze from this even on the lowest setting. I love that it has a timer, and it's so handy having a clicker switch. It was very simple to mount and put together. You can figure it out if you look at the pieces, as the instructions are a bit pants. My only downside, as others have said, is that the cable length is ridiculously short. Nobody has a socket halfway up their wall. Definitely worth the money though. Looks more expensive than is was.

Great product
Works a treat. A great product for the price, it's good that you have a remote as then you don't need to move.

Poor build quality
Unable to comment on the remote, timer function & installation as I didnt get that far. Assembly of the back guard and blade is simple and easy and those are the only good points about this product. After growing a third hand to assist with attaching the front guard (not a well designed component ... one of many). I plugged it in to test it out. First thing to point out is the cable. The cable (including plug) is 70cm, considering this is a wall mounted fan you would expect to see a little more cable. Staying with the cable ... the exit point. If you happen to have a plug socket in your ceiling then this, like the legnth issue won't be a problem for you, as the cable exit point is through the top of the unit??? Inturn you will lose around 25cm of cable, meaning your "wall mounted fan" will be less than a meter off the ground ... for this price you could get 2 decent tower fans! Moving on to the next issue ... Quality. There are some nice features such as the blade being made of a smoke grey transparent perspex material which does blend in well with the black guard, but again that is as far as it goes. The housing is very cheap plastic (that came pre scratched, thoughtful of them) and the remote seems to be of the same material (didn't unwrap it to tell exactly) but the biggest let down of all was the blade. Unbalanced to the point that this fan is completely unusable and thats before being attached to a wall which no doubt would be plasterboard with a hollow which would only amplify the vibrations

1 meter long cable for a wall mounted fan, cheap plastic on the fan. Painful to install the fan
The fan itself is very powerful and after having to jump hoops to install it; It works great. However, the installation was pretty bad. Firstly, attaching the metal mesh around the fan is a nightmare because the mesh is flexible and bends easily, but to attach it to the the fan you need to apply some pressure for the clip to sit. Meaning you end up with dents in your fan. Secondly, the screws that come with the fan are very, very cheap. Use your own screws, these ones will fray and bend under small amounts of pressure. Trying to screw them in the metal chipped away on an electric screwdriver with very low torque meaning I had to hammer them into the wall to make them flush. Finally, why is the cable only 1 meter long? Most UK plugs are very close to the ground, I had to buy a 3m extension plug and with it hanging it looked ugly so it used cable covers to hide the cable. This cost me another £14 on top. Overall, I am happy with the fan now, the timer settings and remote work great and the fan is extremely strong. I usually keep it to the first setting.

strong, powerful and about as quiet as any other fan of similar size
I got this to replace a faulty desktop fan and it was definitely a good purchase. The fan itself does feel light as others have said but it doesn't feel poorly put together and honestly as it's wall mounted you don't want it to weigh a tonne and once up on the wall it looks fine. I installed it on my own with little to no trouble, the instructions are quite minimal but you don't really need them as how it goes together/works is quite obvious. It is true that it comes with a very short lead that's designed to be used with a plug only a foot or so away which obviously most homes don't have, however the plug isn't molded on so adding in some length is pretty straight forward. It's definitely not silent, however i couldn't hear any knocking/rattling/vibration etc... the only noise was that of the blades spinning and it was a perfectly acceptable level for me and i think most people would get used to it without issue even in the bedroom it shouldn't be an issue for anyone but the lightest sleeper.
