Well made short traditional tanto
So I have ordered custom made katana (iaito), wakizashi and tanto from a Chinese forge with a good reputation. They arrived with many flaws, large and small. THIS small tanto is an exception! The shira saya is made of hardwood -maybe ebony- is smooth and fits perfectly onto the habaki. The blade, which is the star of the show is well made, has a nice hamon and came very sharp. An interesting feature is its edge profile that reveals its actual purpose as a penetrating weapon. This is a small tanto that is meant to be concealed in a women's kimono. I am very pleased with it!!

Excellent build
This knife is well made, fit and finish are excellent. No seems visible on the sheath. Capable of becoming extremely sharp with a little work. Very pleased with the product

Very nice
Impressive knife for $100. The handle is full tang and well fitted. Sheath fits perfectly. Everything lines up perfectly. I bought this blade because it's supposed to be T10 steel. Should be very durable. The blade is flawless. Very sharp. Faint hamon looks great. Overall, great, solid, well fitted blade.

tanto ,wakazashi style japanese blade
its worth the money ,the craftmanship is great although the epoxy on the handle and sheath isnt great,if its not oiled it will fall apart and look dry.

I'm impressed
No it isn't a tamahagne blade forged by a blind swordsmith on Mt. Fuji but for the price it's a very well made and good looking knife. It came with a small bag of what appears to be ebony sawdust. Not sure what that's for but I'm happy with my purchase. Very sharp T-10 and the hamon is real. Buy it- you won't regret it.

NOT A TOY! Handle accordingly.
I used to be in martial arts and was looking to replace a form dagger (a dagger used for the performance of martial arts movesets/forms. Usually has a chrome blade and no practical use otherwise.) I ordered this and was pleasantly surprised by the craftsmanship and sheen of the blade and lacquered sheath. That being said, it comes sharpened and is not to be handled without caution. This thing will cut you if you get careless.

Awesome and sharp, just has a crack in my handle.
The hamon is authentic and the blade has a nice weight to it, as a Kali practitioner I appreciate blades and swords and choose them wisely, the steel is T10 and it is superbly sharp. I would give it a 5 star but there was a crack in my handle.... it runs almost half way a long from where the habaki is placed to half the handle.. but all in all it is a great blade non the less.

Really Fun Katana! You can't Go Wrong With This Short Sword.
Friends, This is a great katana. It is beautiful, it is strong and sharp, and it also fulfills the best ideas of the katana. I also received the magical black powder, used to remove the original oil. If you did not, contact [email protected]. Question, does anyone have any suggestions for how a Westerner can carry a katana in the field? David
