I am sure these can be used for packs and all kinds of bags, but i want them to keep the strap on my hats snug. I have several, stetson, aussie, and cowboy hats and they usually come with a wooden bead or just a know in the leather strap. Those are useless. I get these slides - they are a little tight to get the straps thru the hole, but once in place they are perfect. The slide up and down easily, making sure you hat stays on your head. And with some of the coastal storms we get in southern Louisiana, that it doing a good thing.

They work as expected, however they could hold onto the cord a little tighter.

Perfect for my project. Holds up well.

Overall, nice product, but look for something a bit larger for paracord, because it's quite a squeeze getting two pieces through it and then it won't slide easily, even when the button is pressed. Would work fine if the inner strands were removed from the paracord though.

I wanted ball/cord stoppers to use to make suet bird feeders with these as roof wire limiters. They work very well. Just finished my prototype today and have the rest to make additional feeders. Great for the purpose I needed.
