6" tall does the job
I needed the 6" spindles to complete my project that was just over 6" tall. My spindle sander moves up and down and covers more than 6". The complete set of sizes are perfect for the large and small areas to be sanded. The only down side is my sander is a 4.5". I have to be careful not to overload the spindle.
