Hobie Lynx Kayak Protection
I bought this tape from Pereguard and it's been working great so far on the bottom of my kayak! Easy to apply and great quality. Tape is smooth on exterior so I can still slide with ease. Tape is also thick and durable. I went from constantly worrying about dings (Hobie Lynx is notorious for being more fragile than most kayaks/SUPs) to now being completely worry free. I will be buying another large roll for my wife's Hobie Lynx as well!

Clean the surface prior to aplication.
Good product, be sure to clean the surface before applying. I am using it on a fishing kayak. I used rubbing alcohol prior to and a heat gun to apply. It's thick and a bit tricky to mold and apply. After getting it out on the water, I am even more impressed. Very durable and did a great job of protecting the Kayak. I am changing to 5 stars.

Expensive
They work but they get scratches and worn out also. Kind of expensive to have to replace once in awhile.

works
this product does not bend to curves very well / to thick .....so wrapping the bow keel line is a major challenge ( the 1 area U need it most when beaching the boat).....but it sticks really good once on ......also, putting it on with the help of a heat gun proved advantageous. Apply slowly.. if u get a air bubble in it ...hard to get it out since it adheres so well and pulling it back off is difficult

Abrasion resistance? Uh, not so much...
I got this (and another 5ft section that I am returning) for the keel lines on my Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 and my old Necky Elaho. I put the 3ft section on the stern of the Prowler. The boxing and materials looked top notch. Used a hair dryer as suggested and did it on a warmer day in the sun. It went on very well and the adhesive stuck nicely. I left on the benches for a few hours and took it down, dragging it less than 3 feet (I measured) to put away. Turned it over to wash it off and noticed that the strip was highly scratched and actually fully worn through in one (v-shaped) spot. Yes: I put it on and the very first time I moved the kayak it scratched through the material essentially immediately. I'd be okay if this worn through over some time but used ONCE and worn through? No. Not even on for one full day and worn through? No thanks. I can't recommend this to other kayakers in good conscience and am going to try to get my money back.

It works
It is very sticky so place it correctly the first time. The product held up well on our kayak trip, it saved the bottom of the boat from all the rocks we went over and we went over a lot of them.

Ok value
I could only put it on flat surfaces, tough to adjust when the repair surface is curved. The slightest peal off will catch your line under the kayak.
