An excellent and very comprehensive biology textbook, suitable for much more than just a first-year two-semester course in biology. In hardcopy book form it is quite a hefty tome.

Pages falling out of book first day of use.

I recieved a "rental only" copy of the purchased book but it is ultimately correct.

The binding was loose from the first few pages on arrival, it would've easily ripped away from the rest of the book if I'd opened it the wrong way. I assume a bit of dry rot is the culprit. Luckily I did not open it incorrectly and immediately noticed the cover trying to escape the rest of the literature. I will probably glue it back eventually for now I don't have to carry the book everyday and so it isn't in any danger.
