Bulova B1987 Bardwell Clock

At first I was a bit wary about purchasing a modern day made clock that looks like an antique. I've had it for over a month and couldn't be more pleased with the product. Very accurate and performs as advertised. Very good directions for set up that get you to go quickly. I adjusted the volume on the chimes and set it up so that it doesn't chime during sleeping hours. Like it. It puts out an amazingly rich chime tone and the rotating pendulum is eye catching. Many modern day reproductions look a bit artificial, but I'd have to say that the craftsmanship and look of this model are great.

Very attractive, detailed, accurate and perfect size ! The wooden case is finished nicely and the clock components are likely plastic but would fool even the most discriminating. Instructions were clear to us except the "counterclockwise warning" which seemed to be confusing as later in the manual it says to turn counterclockwise.....hands versus wheel needs better clarification. We bought two, one clock's pendulum would not work and we returned for an exchange. Still we are glad we bought the clocks ! great value and looks !!

The clock arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble following the included instructions. The clock is a beautiful addition to our living room. The wood looks to be quality and the brass shiny and bright. After about a month, the clock is keeping excellent, accurate time. The chimes are pleasant and not too loud. We actually prefer the chimes to our large, free-standing grandfather clock.

Beautiful clock, however set up is confusing. Does anyone have accurate instructions they could share with me?

The Bulova clock is perfectly described on Amazon. The clock case is beautifully designed and constructed and the encased clock is a delightful emulation of a torsion pendulum clock. Setting the time and configuring the chime is readily done. Chime volume is easily set to a preferred volume. The emulation of a mechanical chime is nearly perfect.

Nice looking, keeps good time but inexpensive materials. The chyme switch would not play Westminster so I called Bulova and they switched me to an extension that did not answer, so I called back and they said they did not repair the clocks , I would have to find a clock repairman. I looked again at the chyme switch and the control knob was completely gone , I guess because I used it so much. Back to Amazon.

The clock is very beautiful, but then when you set the time and watch it work i became very disappointed. The pendulum does rotate like it should! It starts to rotate then stops. I have tried to do everything i can but it wont keep rotating like it designed to. DON'T BUY THIS CLOCK!

For the price, this clock is a wonderful purchase. It’s beautiful and classy. The chimes are elegant and it keeps very good time. I’ve purchased this clock twice now for special occasions.

This Bulova clock exceeds my expectation. It is beautiful, luxurious and the musical chimes are calming and regal. The wooden case is beautifully crafted with a warm glow. As another customer pointed out, the three sides are made of plexiglass and not real glass. I am ok with that as it will not crack. All the different settings and mechanics work perfectly. The volume control is a plus and a must for personalization. However, the clock chimes only on the hour NOT the quarter hour as shown in the video.

The directions talk about the batteries that are to be inserted in the bottom of the base,but neglect to speak about the battery you also have to add in the back of the mechanism for the arms to work and keep time. You will need another AA battery for the clock to move the arms on the face of the clock. again,the directions are written for someone who owns a clock of this maker, not for a new owner! And it does not chime on the quarter hour
