I never write reviews for things online but I saw that this didn't have any reviews so I'm here on a mission to tell you that this movie is amazing. The screenplay is hilarious, vivid, lifelike but heightened at the same time? Iconic. The acting is top notch, there's clear direction with specific and powerful choices, EXQUISITE production design, beautiful and fun cinematography that complements the tone of the film perfectly. The whole team clearly went in with a unified vision and the willingness to take risks and make strong choices. And on top of that, the plot of this rom-com takes the entire concept of romantic love and really interrogates it in such an interesting and valuable way. It rang true to my life experience, not because I'm particularly similar to the main character, but because its incredible specificity finds a universal relatability. What is romantic love? What's platonic? Is there even a point in distinguishing between the two? Todd and Rory's relationship doesn't fit into an easy box, and personally, I'm all for a world less constrained by a hierarchy of relationships based on sex and romance. This movie makes you laugh and cry and think about what it means to connect with another person, which, after all, might be the whole point of living.

James Sweeney is one to watch.

I first watched this movie on Netflix, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It also has a good music soundtrack. I discovered Hazel English's song "That Thing" while watching the movie.

Entertaining film, quite hilarious at times. Fine acting by all. The two leads are perfectly matched. The witty dialogue sustains the film and keeps it moving.This is one of those gay comedies which manages to deliver and sustain the plot throughout. There is never a dull moment!In addition, the extras are fun to watch: the outtakes and deleted scene.An evening of fun!

I'm always on the lookout for good LGBT movies, and this turned out to be a really good one. The characters are pretty quirky, but in a very entertaining way. It's mostly a light-hearted movie with a little drama and a little comedy mixed in. I liked it so much I bought the DVD (even though I have a Netflix subscription) because I wanted to send it to a friend of mine. His and my tastes are pretty dissimilar when I comes to movies, but he loved this one as well. I highly recommend it!

If the actors had spoken the dialog at the way normal people talk, the movie would have lasted three hours. But then it would have given the audience the chance to realize how inane the dialog was.

The screenplay is just astounding. The dialogue never fails to surprise, to entertain, to enliven, to warm and also hurt your heart. If you like witty banter, this is THE movie for you. If you like unique takes on rom-com tropes, oh boy are you gonna love it. If you like nuanced views on the topics sexuality and mental health, I can't recommend this movie enough.
