Will this work to create a back splash in a kitchen?

No. It would not be tough enough for repeated scrubbing/cleaning.

Is this better than modge podge?(Looking for better options w/out mixing)due to modge podge turns Blue and drys up and gets cloudy.any suggestions?

My wife, Deborah SHERL is the artist; uses Liquid Glass almost exclusively to clear-coat finish Acrylic art pieces. While this looks slightly cloudy in the bottle, it dries overnite & looks just like glass, even better! Is NOT resin but is the next best thing. She does not use modge podge, never has even tried it, but many do use. A little Liquid Glass goes a long way AND can be slightly thinned with distilled water...then it is self-leveling. Though likely not recommended, she applies it thick with her bare fingers to avoid any brush stroke marks. Low fumes, easy water cleanup.

Is this product heat resistant?

No it's not meant for heat. And will scratch to.

what can i use if this is not available?

Only issue was the bottle I received half of it was dried up. So I had to get most of that out of the bottle in order to use it. Worry to reorder it again. I really should have returned it. The other half of it I used I did like the results, put it on thin not thick. Nice and glossy.
