I have a lightweight tow dolly for pulling a slingshot. Once we get to destination, car and tow dolly stay in parking lot. Dolly is not very heavy, and I wanted to secure the tongue from nefarious actors. This fits the coupler very tightly, and combined with a chain thru the wheels to prevent dragging, my dolly should be secure. Unit appears strong. And I like the circular style keyway. Came quickly at a great price. Happy camper so far.

works as i should. Used on a bulldog hitch. Latches on both sides. Will only slow down a person with a battery operated grinder though.

Very solid lock. Easy to install. Heavy weight and rugged.

I absolutely love the lock. Feels nice and secure and solid when I connect it to my trailer. However the biggest setback to this are the keys. They absolutely suck. I've had two keys break on me already. I'm not hard on my equipment at all. They both broke while simply trying to unlock it. That must be why they give you so many extra keys. But what happens when I run out of extra keys.

I have lots of trailers and have used all different kinds of locks over the years from homemade to all kind of fancy ones. This is not my favorite. It is tough and it is double protected. It is geared on both sides of the slide in shafts whereas all the rest only have gears on one side. The benefit of having it on 2 sides is it would require someone to have to cut both sides off of it to get it off. This thing will not cut with a hack saw or sawzall the only way you can get through it will take a grinder and those are loud and throw a ton of sparks that you can see a mile away. For the Price you can't find a better trailer lock on the market.

This thing is a beast! And first of all you're probably wondering "is this a real review?" Well you're dabbed straight it is! I've had this thing for about a year now, and it works great! Ive seen some other reviews and Let's be honest... a lock (any lock) is only as good as a thiefs determination. But it gives me piece of mind that my trailer is at least somewhat safe. But I'm writing this review mainly because, I lost my lock. I left it on my trailer bed and drove off and lost it on the freeway going 70mph. Well that was two weeks ago so I ordered a new one (thankfully I haven't opened it yet) and I'm driving today, AND LO AND BEHOLD ON THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY, I SEE MY LOCK!! A couple u-turns later I pull up, snag it and there's barely a few scratches on it! I think to myself "well the lock has got to be broken or something" get home, pop in the key, and bam! It works 100% I couldn't believe it! Long story long. If you're gonna buy a trailer lock.... this is the one to buy!

Excellent! 100% Recommend!!! Great fit, super secure, easy to take on & off. Being in Fl, I think this lock holds up well in rainy weather. Nothing is fool proof but this is some heavy duty security without breaking the bank. Speaking from experience, some of the pricey competition is not as secure as this one.

Hardened steel shafts wouldn't be easy to cut, and a thief would need to cut both shafts to remove the device from the hitch. Insurance company approved which is the important thing to consider, cheap units generally are not approved by insurers as a legitimate tow hitch security device. Be mindful when buying a hitch lock that there is little point of skimping on a cheap hitch lock to secure a significantly priced asset! I do not see the point!

Feels solid, pretty heavy. Locks as intended, no problems. I sprayed the keyhole right away with anti rust lubricant, just in case. My advice is to order if sold by Amazon, I ordered from a third party seller (RNR Camper), the lock packaging (not Amazon box) was all torn up, even the previous customer info was still inside

Easy to put on and feels heavy duty, would take a lot to saw through and to big for bolt cutters!
