Daddy Yankee, aka Raymond Ayala, is Edgar Dinero, a charismatic young man from the slums of Puerto Rico tangled in the thug life of his neighborhood. Falling in love with an uptown girl, Dinero must conceal his ties with the violent underworld. Edgar may run, but can t hide from the corrupt cops and the war for power among his men. Will he live as the Boss of the Underworld or as the King of Reggaeton? Review: 🔥 - LOVE THIS MOVIE! As a Boricua myself this movie is GOATED! And a classic! Came in fast and in good condition! Review: Pleasantly surprised by acting quality, script, originality - I've been an on again-off again DY fan for a few years now and waited a long time to see this movie because, like many others, I was skeptical. I actually found a bootleg feed of the Talento de Barrio on the internet and enjoyed it so much, I purchased the DVD to re-enjoy the movie with better picture and sound. I think it is a mistake to dismiss this movie as unimportant simply because it stars a "teen-idol" reggaeton star. It's not often that people who are not from PR get to see "that side" of Puerto Rico in the media. The photography is reminiscent of the Dominican Republic footage in Michael Mann's Miami Vice (2006) and very real. I also think the dialog and acting are very good, very authentic (Yes, DY's performance in this movie is quite good). We, die-hard reggaeton/Puerto Rican hip hop, fans are used to hearing the common slang and idiomatic expressions set the music but rarely do we hear how those dudes speak when they're just hangin' out in their hoods--the linguistic patters, body language, the style of dress, etc. Bottom line is that there aren't many genuine Puerto Rican movies that make it to the mainstream and if you want to know how the other half live in PR, here's your chance. By the way, the film does address themes of drugs, violence, sex, etc. so don't get it for your children unless you are planning on sitting down with them and explaining what they are seeing.

Great Latin Movie!
It's definatly a favorite but be advised that this movie is for ADULT VIEW ONLY, due to the graphical nature of contents & language. Otherwise it's a action filled attraction. Quality is crisp clear in Blu Ray. Audio is excellent. All around excellent movie. Will definatly recommend to anyone(especially latinos)! Over 18 only though!!!

A must see!
My boyfriend kept mentioning this movie and how wmhe wanted to see it and we tried looking it up on YouTube and other sites and were unsuccessful so I bought it from the only place I trust and love: Amazon! Its a great movie! Anyone who loves reggaeton must see this. Very good acting!

Solid film debut for Ramon Ayala aka Daddy Yankee
I am rating this movie a four because I enjoyed watching the movie and I thought of the performance of Daddy Yankee was good. The sound effects during the action scenes were marginal, but the music in the club scenes were excellent. It is definitely refreshing to see new actors as well as a different location (Puerto Rico) than what the public is used to seeing. And definitely a movie for reggaeton fans.

Freeze
The bluray disc did not work, after FBI usual warning ,the disc just is frozen ,blured image and thats it, i tried on many players, same results, I will use it as up coaster, since it will cost me more to return it to amazon. Buyers beware, the 1 star rsting is for the sctual disc ,not the content.
