High quality, easy to assemble Value for money

Thought I would leave it a while before writing a review. 1st off if your expecting a high end tripod packed with features then this isn’t it, but if you want something that is value for money, then this is it. I am no slouch when it comes to filming and I wanted a reliable tripod to hold my B Camera on, and it does it really well and to be honest, for the money you won’t get much better. I’ve Owen for over a month now and is getting regular usage and is still sturdy and does what I need it to do.

Excellent product

It’s a good quality economy tripod with fluid head and lightweight for the size. Great for budget kit or beginners. Nicely sized and square carry bag is very welcome, the construction is mostly aluminium so is fairly light and rigid. Plastic parts are chunky and many parts are metal, including the mounting plate which has an adjustable ¼20 thread and spring-loaded locating pin. Some issues I’ve noticed: There is a self-levelling spring, but it may as well not be there as it can barely right the head even without the weight of a camera atop. I guess it makes it slightly easier to attach things when it stays level. The pan fluid resistance is adjustable but not the tilt, although the tilt does have a lock which can be partially engaged to give more resistance. Repeated movements reduce the pan fluid resistance in that particular spot, so if you’re doing dry runs the resistance will change over time. It resets when left for a few minutes. The included rubber feet are ok for floors you don’t want to damage with the spikes, but are a pain to remove and reinstall. The legs extend in two stages, with locks at the top and bottom. The bottom locks affect the flimsiest section. Ideally one would use the bottom locks first to make further adjustments easier to reach, but this would result in a wobbly rig. Using the top locks first is much more stable, but then it’s a pain to use the bottom ones.

After years of using pro tripods from Sachtler etc, I needed a tripod just for locked off 3rd camera support. The adjustable pan drag is good but repeated fast left to right pans create a middle zone that has reduced drag. So a slo pan immiedietaly after a fast one might suffer from speeding up half way though the move. None of the reviews tell you that the tilt lock can also be used as a simple drag control and also never mentioned is that the tilt has a balancing spring to level the camera but it is not adjustable. I paid £122.00 on Amazon which makes it the bargain of the century as long as you don't expect it to perform like a £5k sachtler. At 190 cm it also extends to a much greater height than all my other tripods so perfect for getting over the heads of crowds.

Overall product build quality is cheap. Centre spreader plastic disc cracked after using it a few times. Not sure how it cracked as always stored in the bag provided. Build quality is the only thing letting this tripod down. I would not have paid full price on Amazon. Also company doesn't sell this spare part.

An absolutely amazing tripod supports my heavy rig that I run for video shoots interviews and more. The quick release plate is a real benefit, So I can switch from on tripod to run & gun Easily. It has great height for productions where I need to see over a crowd. The adjustability on the fluid head is amazing.So that I can tune it to, however heavy my camera is, and it moves smoothly.

This tripod is sturdy and the fluid head is running smoothly, it would be good enough for amateurs and professionals alike. It is heavy so it is not a travel tripod, but if you need a sturdy non vibrating tripod and don't want to spend thousands this is it. I can't comment on the long-term reliability as I didn't have it for long enough but the quality appears to be good to last for a long time. It comes with a good bag. I use it for spotting scope that needs stability and no vibration due to its large magnification.

Un buen trípode, con un espectacular cabezal, pero no es transportable, un peso elevado, si lo quieres para tenerlo fijo, perfecto. Calidad precio 10 / 10. Por supuesto que hay mejores, pero por 130€ no.
