Universal Chainsaw Field Sharpening Kit

Kit works fantastic for keeping my chainsaw chain razor sharp! This was a great value purchase for a maintenance activity that not enough people do on a regular basis! I will do a quick run through my chain following the guide every few uses and it makes a big difference especially when cutting through hardwoods. Good variety pack and I've used the other pieces for some other odd jobs. Roll up kit is convenient enough to store with my chainsaw and always bring it along with my bar oil. There's even enough space in the roll for storage of a few small tools to disassemble the bar if my chain gets stuck or runs off the track. Well worth it!

Works perfect for me. Easy to take on site with the pouch the files come in. Have had very good luck with Oregon products & definitely recommend.

The reason for four stars instead of five is because the file occasionally slips out of the guide. Otherwise, a good piece of kit.

I’ve been sharpening my chains with the Stihl tool for years. I ordered this Oregon kit purely out of curiosity. So glad I did because until now, I thought the Stihl sharpening tool did a good job but compared to this sharpening kit, it does not! The kit comes with three different sized files, which is very handy as I have several different pitch chains. Also, I wasn’t aware how important it is to keep an eye on the depth gauge of the chain. By following the provided instructions, I sharpening the chain, which is probably 5 years old, and the saw now cuts better than ever. I’m ordering another of these Oregon sharpening kits today. Well worth $20!!

I happened to catch this item on sale. I had checked retail and the flat file alone was as much as this whole kit. I like Oregon products. The quality is top notch and there is good value.
