Everyone uses tarps, this is the better option of tarps to use.
This is a high quality tent, made of budget quality materials, not low quality mind you. For the price you are essentially purchasing a tarp that will outlast any of those woven polypro tarps you get from hardware stores, and this tarp costs roughly twice the price of those polypro tarps and is far more waterproof. I am a fabric snob, and build my own tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and know this polyester tyfetta fabric is about $1 a yard, and can be found on alibaba. it is not ripstop but instead tyfetta which is the T in 210T is a twist added to the thread as it's woven, so do not puncture. The nice thing about polyester fabric is it lasts far longer against UV damage, although since this material is coated with PU or Polyurethane, it will eventually corrode from the PU coating as it eats away at the plastic. NOTHING LASTS FOREVER, but this is a good price to quality ratio. It has pvc reinforced fabric reinforcements on each of the tieouts. I use it to cover stuff in my truck, and sometimes setup as an overhang for work areas that otherwise would be in the rain. Heavy as heck, and even more heavy when wet. I would not use this tarp to hold compost like I do with woven polypro tarps, but I would use it to cover a woven tarp full of compost from the rain.

Kalinco 10X10 tarp
Good entry level camping tarp and fits my expectations. However the tarp leaks around tie downs, but can be remedied with some seam sealer.

Large and Durable
Very good quality. I've only used once, but the seams look strong. This is pretty large for hammock camping. I bought it to have for fall trips in Colorado where snow, sleet and freezing rain are common at elevation. For backpacking with good a good weather forecast, I'd stick to a lighter and smaller rainfly. But for what this is, it gets 5 stars for me. Bonus that you can essentially use the extra tie-off points to make this into a closed-door tent if needed in bad weather.

Good tough tarp
I have 2 of these. Same size and color. Outstanding tarps for the money. This year elk camp we had a day and night where it was to gust up to 30. Not sure if it made it there but I know it was over 20. Tarp tie out points have held up awesome. 5 per side and 3 more on the ends not counting the corners which I already counted. The heavier triangle areas that are sewn on along with the nylon loops are holding up great. No sign of stretching or damage. 2 years ago I had a lovely storm hit the 2nd day of elk season. Winds were up to 50 and I believe that. They held up to that but my Hikeman tarp poles, friction lock, would not start extended. Go figure. The tarps survived that although I did go out and pull everything as everything was falling over or trying to fly to Kansas. Umm, I'm in Oregon. Anyways, I 1000% recommend these tarps. But they do collect pitch drippings. That's the downside of them. Not self cleaning.

So far, so good
I was intrigued by this tarp, mainly due to it having 19 guy loops. I haven't seen this too often on these inexpensive tarps. My other tarp is an Aquaquest 7x10. I like that tarp a lot, but some of my favorite configurations require a square tarp. I bought a 10x10, coffee-colored. On my digital scale, this tarp in its bag weighs 1.8 lbs. That's pretty light. I don't understand the reviews mentioning that it's on the heavy side, but whatever. My Aquaquest weighs the same. Construction looks good. Re-enforced corners and guy loops, double-stitching, etc. I did notice a missed stitch or two on each guy loop re-enforcement. The holes are there, but there's no stitching. To me, this is no big deal. It's a $28 tarp. I can easily run a stitch or two myself to remedy that issue, but I don't see this "defect" as having much effect on durability of the tarp. The center seam is taped and appears to have been well-applied. The double-stitch is covered the entire length of the tarp. The bag is nice...plenty of room for the tarp, stakes and lines. The lines are junk. I use paracord or bankline. The supplied lines would be ok for a clothesline in camp, learning knots or some other non-essential use. The aluminum stakes are nothing special, but should be functional in soft ground. I don't use them. The PU coating is rated at 3000mm. If true, this tarp should stand up to any rain that nature can throw at it. I took this tarp out camping last week and pitched it in a plow-point configuration in a steady, moderate to heavy rain. My dog and I stayed dry inside while watching the rain run down and off the tarp. No leaking at the center seam noted. To wrap-up...time will tell how well this tarp holds up. For the price, I don't think you could go wrong, especially if you're new to tarp camping and want to check it out. With 19 guy loops, you'll have many configurations to experiment with.

Not properly waterproofed
It will absolutely keep you mostly dry from the direct rain, but within an hour or so, it starts to absorb water and leak through. This can probably be fixed with a spray but it really should come already treated. It does have seam tape along the center stitch, so that tells me there was an attempt to waterproof it. Mine simply didn't get the full treatment. I won't say it's a bad tarp, but I would recommend waterproofing it yourself before using it just in case you got a dud like mine.

Used this tarp on a rainy 2 day camping trip. Set it up over the picnic table as an outdoor shelter. It was waterproof and held up in moderate winds no problem. I like that it has extra tie off points in the Center. The guy lines were a bonus and are a good length and quality. The stakes are aluminum so lightweight but will bend easy in hard ground or rocky ground. The overall size and weight was very good for the price point. The get something better I feel you would have to pay a substantially higher price. Overall I got more than a $40 value in just the 2 nights I used it.

This is a great lightweight but waterproof and strong tarp. We used it for a 2 week camping trip to Algonquin park and it was used as a cover for the picnic table-food area. It held up perfectly over 2 weeks and we had 3 rain cycles with one heavy rain with wind. All the grommets are reinforced and held up very well with no degradation at all. I can highly recommend this 10x15 tarp it will serve you well.

It's a good tarp with lots of tie out points. The 10x10 square tarp is ideal for the type of camping I do, and allows for versatility a tent just can't provide. My only complaint is the bulk, but even then it's not bad. It is not fire retardant, so must be careful around campfires and windy conditions. 4 out of 5 because of fire concerns and the bulk, otherwise a perfect score.

Well designed and well made. Light yet strong. Very strongly reinforced attachment points. Highly recommend.
