Is this product hot enough to keep mozzarella melted over pizza ? And will it melt butter ?

Yes, and here’s how I know. We had pizza the other night and I draped the pizza dough over the heater and threw cheese on it and it melted. We also set an entire 1 pound stick of butter on top of the heater and watched it slowly melt and drip all over the heater. It was so cool! We can’t wait to try other things like whip cream, honey, and bath soap. His heater is so fun!

Does it turn off as the room gets warm, and turn back on as room cools?

It has an unmarked thermostat dial so you have to guess your desired temperature. I think the dial is from 55 to 90 degrees. FYI it will take many hours of constant at the dial set to its max temperature to get a small 200 square foot room that hot. I set my dial to about 50% and it will turn off and on at around 70 degrees. This heater is about as strong as a hair dryer at 70 degrees
