Great gift for a left-hander.

My wife and I bought these measuring cups and the writing on the side of the cups began to come off. We called the manufacturer and they responded very quickly and indicated that they don’t recommend using Lemi Shine in the dishwasher because it will etch off the writing. They immediately sent out replacement measuring cups for us to use and we have not had a problem ever since.

The reason I give this four stars instead of five is that the shape of the cup is not exactly the same as the shape of my 40 year old measuring cup. The spout is shorter, meaning that it is difficult to pour liquids without them running down the side of the cup. Otherwise, the cup is comfortable to hold and easy to read. The markings are very bold. I only needed a new measuring cup because my old 50th anniversary edition cup is so worn that the markings are almost invisible.

If you want your liquids to dribble down the side of the measuring cup when you're pouring them, buy the Pyrex like I did. If you want a well-made cup that actually pours, Anchor Hocking is a much better product. Does what it's supposed to do.

This is Great for meassuring. It is one of the few top brands which have measurements info for both sides of the atlantic. Very usefull. Makes it much easier to follow recipies you find on the internet and/or books:)
