I tried the Amazon brand facial sunscreen and was really impressed. It didn’t make my face break out, felt lightweight, and provided great protection. Perfect for everyday use—definitely a solid budget-friendly option!

Took and trip and knew I would be out in the sun. I know this is for the face, but I used on my arms, legs and face. It is light and easy to apply. Not sticky and heavy as some sunblocks can be. I am very pleased with this purchase/find, as it works well and was a fabulous price for this tube.

I believe it is equal to the name brand mentioned on the front side of the tube. It is 55 SPF Sun Protection Factor so it offers strong UV A and UV B protection which are the 2 ranges of sun rays that do the skin damage and burning. It is an easily absorbed lotion that when rubbed goes into the skin and is not visible. It feels good after being rubbed in in that it feels dry and not overly greasy or with no shine and sheen. If you put on a shirt over your skin with lotion it will appear on the inside of a dark shirt but it will wash out right away when that shirt is washed. It is a good product and offers burn protection to me in some clear-sky strong sun uses. Reapply after entering the pool or after an hour (all sunscreen labels say reapply after 80 minutes which I believe is per recommendations of the federal FDA or some medical studies). I reapply often and I still get tanned but I do not want to burn.

I’m a fair skinned person who burns and freckles easily and in my 40’s. I also love being outside. I have worn spf on my face (and usually my hands) basically every day since I was 13 and because of that people always say I don’t look my age. Back then, only a 4 or 8 was available in face moisturizers, but I have always worn the highest that is recommended and usually face moisturizers are behind in meeting the recommendations so I have usually worn a full on sunscreen under my makeup. As the recommendations get higher it has been harder to find something that doesn’t look pasty, smell bad or interfere with makeup. I was using Eucerin spf 30 and Cera Ve spf 30 but I have wanted to increase spf to 50 because that is what is recommended now. I tried the Cera Ve spf 50 and was disappointed by how tacky it is and pasty it looks. I don’t even like wearing it alone to the beach because it’s so chalky white and sticky. Neutrogena healthy defense is alright but it has a scent and some chemicals that are not so good. It also is a pretty small bottle (1.7 oz) when you use it everyday on face and hands. But THIS product has blown me away with its affordability and quality. It IS sheer. Easily blends in and disappears quickly into skin. It’s completely odorless. It’s not tacky or greasy—you feel moisturized but not sticky. It performs under foundation even better than the Cera Ve 30. Now, this doesn’t have the extra ceramides and vitamins that does so I’ll still be using that when I feel extra dry like in winter, or I might mix the two moisturizers, but this Solimo reef safe sunscreen will definitely be my daily face and hand sunscreen in the spring, summer and early fall. These are the days I go straight from work to the garden or the beach. I can quickly reapply over my makeup before I leave the house again feel fully protected while I’m out.

This is a great face sunscreen for the price. I have other brands and like them too, but this one is by far the most affordable. Goes on easily without a white cast, offers all day protection unless you are in the water, then it requires reapplication. Works well with other products, like toners and serums, and no pilling if you wait to apply when your face is dry. It does have that sort of sunscreen smell, but that dissipates quickly.

Does the job and doesn’t leave an oily residue on your skin. Joy is fairly quickly and absorbs well. My only issue is that it has caused a few breakouts if I use it every day consistently. Works great for occasional use though.

And no fragrance. Does not break me out in itchy hives, and does not dry my skin out like Neutrogena dry lotion does. (both hives and dry out). I use on whole body, does not run into my eyes when I sweat gardening (when 105 and my eyelids are sweating there's no stinging eye drips). I will buy again. Highly recommend, and I am very finicky about sunscreen since I have to wear it daily when gardening. Doesn't have sticky feel hat makes me feel like I need a shower or soil dust doesn't stick to the skin above the gloves when planting. I deeply hope this doesn't contain the chemicals that are bleaching coral reefs. They traced the bleaching events to hot ocean water and oxybenzine? The active ingredient in Neutrogena brand. That one also attracts mosquitos! My arms break out in hives on my arms. This brand designed for the face, but spreads clearly arms and legs. No white residue. Highly recommend this product. Esp if you hate wearing sunscreen. This becomes invisible.
